419 West was opened to the public in May of 2002 by Roger Neel Jr. and Al Pollard, the same operators that started Corned Beef and Company and Frankie Rowland's Steak House. The building was remodeled to the current state with the addition of a perfect dome in the middle of the dining room, a hand built mahogany bar, two private dining rooms, and a state of the art "open" kitchen. The kitchen features a wood burning oven for our pizzas, and a charcoal grill seasoned with hickory chips, for our ½ Pound Certified Angus Beef hamburgers and St Louis Style Ribs.

The style of food is considered American with slight influences from the around the world and all over the United States. Whether you would like a multi course sit down dinner or are just stopping in for a hamburger or a pizza, we have menu items to suit your wants or needs. We would love the opportunity to serve you, so stop by to try one of our simple yet elegant dishes.

One order was totally incorrect annd I had ann incorrect side dish. The plates returned to the kitchen. My crab cakes and mashed potatoes returned cold. They did a refire and the potatoes and asparagus were hot, but the crab cakes were barely warm. Our server was extremely apologetic, even being candid with us the one of the issues was her error. I am extremely disappointed that given the number of issues we had, we never saw a manager nor was there any comps on the check. Sadly, I will not return.

Jake, our server was really really good. Very attentive made some good suggestions. The food was excellent. We were disappointed that there were no baked potatoes being offered on as a side dish, especially with ribs being served! I was also disappointed that the selection of non-alcoholic beers was very limited. The bartender did make a great mocktail for my wife. When I made the reservation online through OpenTable I sent a message to this restaurant asking them rather letting them know that my wife and I would be celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary. Apparently this message never made it to the front end of the restaurant but that’s OK. Overall, this is the third or fourth time we have dined at 419 West and the food is one of the reasons we decided to come back to celebrate. Hats off to one of the ladies servers who helped us by taking photos outside as we were preparing to leave. She was so kind and gracious. Great staff at this restaurant.

We had the best waitress, believe her name was summer. She said she just came out of training. She was on top of it all! Best waitress we've ever had at any resteraunt! Drinks were never empty, food came fast. Everything extra we asked for we got quickly. She had the best smile and just so friendly. Highly recommend! And if you do go ask for summer

Overall experience was underwhelming. Non alcoholic drink choices other than soda were not available, food arrived medium warm, salad presented with humus appetizer had cucumber that was shriveled. Low poured white wine. My family have found this restaurant inconsistent and we are no longer willing to take the gamble that it will be a good experience.
