Amazing. It’s like you’re part of a perfectly orchestrated play where food is the actors and the service is the theme. Love it, can’t wait to go back again soon.

It was a lovely experience, they kept my notes about 1 diner unable to eat red meats due to high iron levels. We upgraded with truffles and caviar, which was amazing. We also celebrated our birthday thanks to the staff for helping out with that.

This was our first experience with such a highly rated restaurant. My wife and I were very impressed and we had fun - which was the whole point. The food was pure artistry and delicious. The service was precise and friendly. Knowing we’d be well sated after dinner, we planned ahead to see a live performance afterwards instead of risk falling asleep on the sofa when we got back home. Sure, it was a bit on the expensive side but at least we happily got to put a check mark on the old bucket list. Maybe 2 check marks someday.

For San Diego’s standards Addison was top notch. Service was an orchestrated dance with very friendly and responsive service staff. However, in comparison to 3 star Michelin’s around the world, I was not as convinced, as the food did not etch into my palate as absolutely divine. It was well balanced and presented, and none of the dishes had me overwhelmingly dislike it. If you have not experienced fine dining at a premium, then Addison is a great start. However, for those who have experienced Michelin rated restaurants around the world this may not rank up there with the best of the best.

Absolutely floored by the whole experience. The physical product is spectacular and first impressions set the tone. Reception was warm and welcoming with all team members addressing us by name and recognizing our special occasion that was shared on the original booking. The food is exquisite - fine, yet expressive, robust and filling. James’ service style was very refined, but still relaxed. It made us feel so welcome and he did an incredible job explaining the ethos and story of the restaurant. The service was extremely well coordinated, with all team members engaging us discreetly and contributing to the overall experience. The wine list has iconic wines and a ton of vintage depth. Special should out to the collection of Madeira, Sauternes and Champagne available by the glass. We were able to find gems from less prestigious regions and very reasonable price points. Addison is a splurge dinner for sure, but they find a way to deliver value even at this top tier price point.

Wonderful evening, from food, service, wine options, price point, couldn't ask for more. If I had to be be extra picky, desserts were slightly too sweet, same with the honey butter, slightly too sweet over powering the butter itself.

We had a lovely experience at Addison as always. We LOVE the ambiance and decor. Super cozy and inviting. We were a bit confused about the introduction of the theme of the menu as it was presented as "California". It was VERY Asian to us and it seemed as though most items were from Japan. When I think of California cuisine, I think of a mix of vegetables, cheeses, nuts, avocados, grilled meat, and of course fish and seafood. I feel like California dishes are influenced by other international cuisines such as Mexican, Italian, European, etc.... I loved our food but felt mislead by the theme. The execution and plating was absolutely beautiful as well as the staff and how they presented each dish. Personally I much prefer the French Fusion we enjoyed the last time we dined with Addison.

Fantastic meal and excellent service as you should expect at the price point. Space was not quite at the level of the food and service. Big and wide open space that lacked intimacy and character. But I really enjoyed the dinner and outstanding wine pairings. Would definitely recommend.

All you would expect from a 3 star Michelin rated restaurant. Food was fabulous and very satisfying. Service was very good, although a server dropped a spoon during set up there was a quick recovery from another staff member and didn’t take away from the overall experience. Only mentioned it because I’m sure they pride themselves on being perfect all the time but it happens to the best of us

Exquisite food, service, and atmosphere. Took my wife to Addison for her birthday and it was truly a memorable experience. James, our sommelier and server was fantastic we ended up including the black truffles and caviar add-ons as well as a fun, old vintage Lebanese red. Truly an unforgettable night and very deserving of the three Michelin stars.

It was as if they read the travel pages of my diary and fed me my dream meal, the service was better than watching a musical orchestra at work, the chef was approachable and friendly, the somm was exceptional and made our experience. Would have loved to hear more about the prep behind each dish upon serving but not sure everyone has this need! 😆

Food was excellent so compliments to the chef and his team. Service: For a 3 michellin restaurant, these are things that need to be improved on: First, my wife asked to see the menu of the tasting courses and was told by the sommelier who was helping at the time that they don’t have a printed copy. Yet on the way out, he said here’s a menu of the food experience. Second, I went to the restroom twice. First time my napkin was not folded but it was on the second time. Again, this doesn’t happen at 3 michelin place. Last, we were told that there were supplements to the menu. As a courtesey to the customer, the price of the supplement should be mentioned upfront.

A true 3-star restaurant at the absolute height of their powers! We have eaten at restaurants totaling nearly 50 Michelin stars in the last 12 months, and the nearly 4 hour experience was one of the greatest meals of our lives. Addison should be at the top of every foodie's list if you want to experience the best American fine dining has to offer in 2023! And they're certain to only get better! The cuisine is Californian with Japanese, French, and Mexican influences. Creative presentations, and phenomenally choreographed plate drops and table-side saucing only serve to enhance flavors and textures that would be outstanding on their own. The venue is grand and gorgeous, yet has a surprising warmth. The table initially seemed a bit large for a party of two, but it made sense once the food and wine started coming. The drink program would make even Thomas Keller blush. Instead of a pre-determined wine pairing, we opted for the Somm to pick out a few bottles over the course of the meal. And James exceeded any reasonable expectations, delivering a 2001 Mersault and 1999 Barbaresco that proved to be two of the best bottles we've ever drank. The service was totally meticulous and professional, yet still managed to be warm and friendly - a difficult balance to achieve. We were on first name basis with 4 or 5 of our team by the end of the evening (thank you James, Sarah, Sean, Nick, and the whole Addison team!). A thousand small and seemingly effortless touches proved to enhance our night in ways that I'd need a few thousand more characters to do justice. It’s the kind of completely satisfying night that you sort of dream of every time you make a reservation at a comparable establishment but so rarely actually get to experience. I can still practically taste every wine, cocktail, and bite two days later. It's not cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. And we absolutely can't wait to go back (if we can ever get a reservation)!

This was our first time. Upon driving up to the entrance it is dark not not well lit out front it is a big driveway. We thought there would be valet parking but no one came out we looked around and found a parking lot off to the side. Once we parked we walked inside. Immediately to the right was a reception desk with two employees. They greeted us, asked for our name, and wished my wife a Happy Birthday. We were seated immediately but next to the service wine station which we were not very happy about. This is where they uncork wines, taste, and spit into a bucket. Not a pleasant sight for the price we knew we were paying. Our table waiter came, greeted us and went over the nights menu and the upgrade options. We chose to go with the full luxury upgrade. We knew it would be expensive but did not know how expensive because the prices are not revealed. That was a shocker at the end of the evening. The ambiance is quite dark and cold. Basically your sitting in a huge banquet room. The food is amazing. A nine course tasting menu and As i said added was the luxury upgrade. This included caviars. Wagu beef flown in fro Japan, and black truffle mushrooms that were in the ground two days ago in France. Each tasting presentation is a work of art. Flavors that just explode in your mouth. The service is above excellent. It is like watching a synchronized symphony as each server flows through the room with precision. The whole evening was wonderful experience with the few critiques I have noted. When making the reservation I was asked if it is a special occasion which I noted it was celebrating my wife’s birthday. Other than wishing my wife a happy birthday nothing else was done.

We had an incredible experience last night at the Addison. Impeccable service, our Sommelier “Ms. Natalie” is simply AMAZING! Her presentation of wine’s made us excited about each course. The meal was “good”, however I was expecting a journey with each course and looking for different cultural flavors, each presentation having its own experience. I will wait until the the summer to try again, hoping with the change in seasons the experience will be more of a culinary journey.

This was a perfect meal, in every way. Addison is truly deserving of its 3 Michelin stars- we were just blown away by the hospitality, quality of food, and attention to detail in everything. I am pregnant and they adapted my menu to be pregnancy-safe… and I was so impressed by how they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions without compromising on presentation, taste, or experience. We are very fortunate to have this restaurant here in San Diego- we hope to return again in the future!
