   The food and table were perfect however the service was appalling. We had to ask to be served whe we had been waiting over 20 mins and the to get menus for the desserts again now coming outside so very disappointed I should have refused to pay the service charge but it was a special occasion and I didn’t want to spoil it any further.

   After 30 minutes of waiting from being seated I went to find somebody and ask could we order at least a drink. After a further 20 minutes we asked if the drinks were ready to which the man said they was being poured with no apologies given. They hadn’t arrived after an hour so I went and asked a lady who was helpful and we then received them right away. Our food came out quickly after and it was obvious it had been sat for a while as the peas were solid and the pepper corn sauce had a layer over the top. The food was cold. People around us were served a lot quicker and were sat down with their order before us. We think that we was just missed but, the restaurant was not busy and there was plenty of staff. The lady and girl who then took over our table were lovely.

   Set menu is good value but we were a bit disappointed overall. We expected it to be as good or better than Alberts in West Dids and it wasn’t. Service a bit slow and main courses only ok.

   Very poor. Staff unattentive...waited just short of one hour for food and they came with mains not our starter. Once that was sorted we ate our starters and waited 20 mins for our mains. My wife's chicken meal looked like it had been warmed up! It's not as though the place was busy say 8 tables. The experience was very poor. We normally go to Albert's Didsbury where we always find that to be excellent

   Have visited many times and always loved it but sorry to say this time it was appalling. Nobody took an order for drinks, eventually ordered and our first drinks arrived after our starters even though I went to the bar and asked again! I was met with a nonchalant shrug from the barman. We then waited over 45 mins for next course which was far below the usual standard. My husband ordered fish and chips because it was served with home made tartar sauce ,which never arrived with the meal. I tried to summon a waiters attention to ask for some ice , I eventually went to the bar myself . I could understand if the place was busy but it wasn't and there seemed to be adequate staff on for the number of customers there. It just seemed that there was total lack of organisation. All in all it was a totally disappointing and frustrating experience and I would find it hard to recommend to anyone else.

   Good atmosphere, good menu, sat in outdoor seating area indoor seating was available. Appeared a little short staffed, and there was some items not available from menu. The staff are attentive and the wait for food was not too excessive

   Bank holiday lunch at Alberts or Alberts Shed is a tradition. Fixed priced menu is always great value and the food really tasty. The sun always shines as well

    It’s a great place , it always has been but the staff were struggling all night. Ordered champagne when we got there, just two glasses and they took about 20 mins to come , after reminding twice. Then took ages to order. Staff were polite and did a decent job, just seemed too busy to cope maybe. It did alter the experience though as we’d hoped to get a drink after given my partner was working in hospital early the day after but time ran out as we were there nearly 2.5 hours for a simple meal. Food was good, Focaccia was amazing. But it’s not cheap so that’s expected. Understand there’s a shortage of staff about but the owners need to step up maybe and keep standards as high.

    The meal was lovely, very tasty. The atmosphere, sat outside, was great on a warm summer evening. The serving staff were very friendly and helpful. The only reason I haven’t given 5 star across the board was that we arrived half hour early to have a drink, this was impossible to achieve, we were seated at our table after 20 minutes (so early thankfully) but getting a drink before then did not happen. I would highly recommend dining here but if you want a drink first go elsewhere and arrive on time for your booking.

    Had a fantastic lunch! So enjoyed fish and chips with mushy peas followed by ice cream. It's my birthday in a few days, and the manager got me flowers and a dessert of cake (a candle on top) with cream and being wished a happy birthday. So lovely of them to do that! I had a fab day!

    Beautiful restaurant. 2nd time going there, I treated my friend to a bday meal and it was delicious. I bought number 22 candles in with me to see if they could do anything dessert wise and they kindly did a free dessert brownie which was lush! They surprised my friend at the end of the meal with it. Our waitress was so lovely, I can’t remember her name unfortunately but the service was really thoughtful and we appreciated it a lot. Thank you Albert’s Shed!

    Probably one of the worst services I've experienced drinks took 25 minutes and were wrong when arrived we ordered soda and lime and a soda we got water and lime and a vodka lemonade. Apparently they ran out of soda so just assumed we wanted vodka. Food took an hour and was cold and my plate was swimming in gravy clearly to heat it up but we were starving so ate it. My partner found some chips on his Sunday roast ... luckily he likes chips. You get seven olives when you order the olives... Thought that was a bit tight. Rude male Manager. Female manager was lovely and tried to apologise but we had the rude male manager dealing with out complaints for the whole of the meal and she only rocked up at the end. Avoid.

    Initially we were very impressed when we turned up slightly earlier than our reservation and was offered a free table straight away. The waiter was nice and took our order but our drinks did not arrive. We both ordered the beef roast dinner and mid way through the meal our drinks had still not arrived despite asking another server for them a second time. The food looked really good and so I was really disappointed that that the actual flavour didn’t match up. The beef was very dry and tasteless, there was a lot more fat on it than I’d have liked too. The mashed potato was really dry and had a thick film on it and the roast potatoes tasted reheated. The Yorkshire pudding was definitely not homemade which was disappointing and was very doughy which is not to my taste. The carrots were ridiculously sweet but that’s personal preference as I’m not overly keen on honey glazed food. I just found the whole plate very disappointing and didn’t even get halfway through when I decided to give up as it just wasn’t enjoyable. Our waiter did seem concerned that I wasn’t eating it and the manager approached me to ask why. I explained my reason and the manager was looking over my shoulder at something else the whole time clearly not actually bothered by my feedback. We still paid the full bill and the discretionary service charge as I did not feel it was the waiters fault and it was quite busy but as for the actual food, it’s clear that cheap ingredients are used and not made fresh.

    We had a fabulous time at Albert’s Shed this weekend. The weather was perfect and stood for a great atmosphere with lots of people enjoying themselves. The food was extremely good, as always and customer service was attentive, friendly and professional. We have been to Albert’s Shed many times and was so so pleased that it opened its doors again after the Covid period. A firm favourite with us for a city restaurant visit and we will be back….     Excellent experience yesterday. The restaurant is lovely in a really nice part of Manchester and easily accessible via the Tram network. Food was excellent as was the service. Staff professional but friendly. 10/10

    Having enjoyed our previous visits we presumed our pre concert visit would be equally enjoyable. And it was. Annie and Poppy, both friendly and efficient as our waitresses and Lennie brought his sense of humour into play. As older folk we thought the music volume was a little high. It was only 5.30 and not many young customers were in so perhaps a little quieter, raising the volume later in the evening. This will not put us off visiting again!

    Four of our party ordered the fish and chips from the lunch menu and we were all disappointed as it was more batter and chips. The eccles cake was a bit of a let down as well as they were very sparing on the clotted cream .

    Booked a table for 8pm and arrived on time. By 9.35pm we had to start asking where our main courses were. Finally got it at 9.50pm. Staff friendly, food also good but think they had over booked for the kitchen capacity and wait for food was out of control. I have 2 teenage boys who were starving.

    The food we ordered was not to the standard we would expect from Alberts Shed. We ordered from the Lunch Menu, the fish and chips. The fish was wet and soggy and the chips were a very small portion, we had to order extra chips. However the customers next to us got far more chips then we did, not sure why. There was 1 pudding missing from the lunch menu as well. The prices, lunch menu @£14.95 x 2 should be have been £29.90 but we ended up spending just over £50.00, accepted we ordered a bottle of still water, but we had to pay extra for a portion of chips as well as a pudding. Would not recommend for these reasons.

    We came as part of my birthday weekend for a Sunday lunch. I ordered the cauliflower wings from the vegan menu as a starter and worryingly found a prawn shell and a piece of prawn. We immediately told the waitress Poppy who took this to the kitchen. We were told this would be taken off the menu, and our bill and the chef would investigate. On reflection im not really sure this was an adequate response from Alberts Shed and we should have been reimbursed for our meal. Positively, I’d like to add Poppy was an amazing waitress who looked after us well in all other areas, I’m not sure it was within her role to offer us any more. A response to this unsatisfactory experience would be appreciated as the implications, if I had an allergy would have been very significant notwithstanding the fact this came from the vegan menu.
