   Have visited Alberts many times and always really enjoy it. However, this visit was not as good as usual. Myself and my husband had Alberts fish and chips which seems to be their signature dish. Unfortunately, they had run out of chips, which I find very surprising. The last couple of visits there has been a supplement on the lunch menu for the fish, this has now been removed but the quality of the fish was very much inferior to usual. One of the reasons for the fish and chips selection was the great quality so please don’t compromise, if you need to charge extra to keep the standards.

   Dined with husband and daughter on late May Bank Holiday evening. All enjoyed our food, my daughter and I choosing Malayan Chicken for main course, a particular favourite! On this occasion we felt there wasn’t enough sauce which made the dish rather dry and we had to leave some of the rice. Otherwise the dish was very tasty. All the other food was up to the usual high standard. Our server was a delight but sadly we didn’t catch her name

   We booked the £14.95 2 course Bank Holiday special after receiving a promotional email. When we arrived we were seated and given a menu, I asked for the specials menu and was told this wasn’t available as the produce had not arrived. Why wasn’t an email sent out to customers explaining this, why weren’t we told when we checked in, why didn’t the staff tell us when we were given a menu. It is false advertising and they are taking bookings for a product that isn’t available. The manager wouldn’t accept responsibility and wasn’t helpful.

The menu had been incredibly popular over the Bank Holiday weekend, as had the stock with our suppliers. Resulting in us unfortunately having to take off the menu early Monday afternoon. I can not apologise enough that this was not mentioned upon arrival. We have taken your comments onboard and will use them to improve our experience moving forward.

    Great food and surroundings. However the pot of tea for two wasn’t enough for 2 and the menu wasn’t accommodating in any way. Overall good food but a shame about the other issues.

    Despite being very busy the service was excellent. Our Sunday roast with big Yorkies was tasty and good value but managed a delicious sticky toffee pudding to finish.

    Everything was fine except when I got home and checked my bill, which I will accept is my fault. I’ve been charged a service charge when I have already tipped the waiter separately and found also that I have been charged a pound extra on each desert which were not what was shown on the menu, other than that, everything was fine

    As usual, food was excellent and great atmosphere at Alberts. Missed some old favourites from the menu - soup, garlic bread, lamb, but new dishes are good. i had the steak risotto starter and the Malayan chicken - both very good. My wife had the sea bass which she said was superb. The only issue was parking - car park full, but that's to be expected on a Saturday night. Nearest I could park was on a road about half a mile away. Of course, when I had finally found a space and walked back, there were 2 free spaces in the car park! Next time I'll hang about and wait for someone to leave.

    Five of us came to Alberts Worsley on 27th May at 6:15pm to celebrate two Birthdays. We wanted them to have a special evening, hence choosing Alberts. The starters came out separately, but the time difference wasn’t too bad and it was acknowledged that the other starters were on their way. This is where the service stopped. Our waiter seemed to disappear for chunks of time and I also saw him flirting with two women on a table a couple up from ours, spending longer than usual with them. It was difficult to get his attention and I had to go to the staff member at the entrance to ask if we could order another drink and deserts. By this time we had the desert menu for about 20 minutes with no one taking our order. The drinks took a long time to come and when the deserts came, only three out of five arrived. We then asked where the other two were and the waiter went to see and brought them over. A three course meal ended up taking three hours due to how slow and poor the service was. Never once in three hours were we asked if we wanted any extra drinks. This was supposed to be a lovely meal, celebrating two of our family members birthdays and to introduce three of the family to Alberts. At this time, I won’t be entrusting Alberts with special occasions again and our family members are not sure they would visit for a second time. Given the level of prices I expect consistent and attentive service to their clients, which we did not experience. This was not the experience my wife and I have come accustomed to, given we visit several times a year. A disappointing experience, for a double special occasion. A sudden change like this is worrying. I hope this feedback helps the company and clients to manage expectations and avoid a repeat of our experience.

    Had a nice evening but if i had anything to be picky about it was presentation of food. I have ordered Malayan chicken on numerous occasions because it is my favourite. Its usually presented onnplate with a dome of rice and chicken with the sauce over. It didn't look quiet as nice last night. Although the taste was delicious it looked like it had been thrown on plate.. Didn't ruin evening everything ekse nice.

    The restaurant was very busy but we were seated straight away drinks and food brought promptly no delays The food was excellent great choice for vegans. Dessert absolutely delicious My only complaint is there was a lady singing and it was too loud so much so that it was difficult to chat to my family That said we would definitely go again

    Fabulous meal on Sunday, not as busy as I’ve seen it in the past. The food was great, the service was great too, very attentive. The deserts we had were really good too. A special mention for the vegan chocolate orange torte. Now I’m not vegan, I chose it because it was gluten free, it was THE best I’ve tasted ever!!

    Alberts is a regular haunt for us, the last time we went a few things weren't quite right so we'd not been back for a month, but they served a revisit. Everything was not just better than last time, but better than ever. The team seemed altogether, the food was superb, as was the service. Keep it up!
