The architecture and decor are definitely unique. However, the food was terrible. The food was extremely overpriced for the quality that was presented which resembled the quality of a bad cafeteria or cheap buffet rather than a quality steak house. The good service is the only compliment I can give this restaurant other than its unique decor. We would not dine here again or recommend it to anyone else. We were pretty excited to visit but left extremely disappointed.

Love the ambience of the Madonna Inn Steak House. There is no other place like it! Our waitress Melissa was outstanding.....loved her smile and excellent service. All the food was good with just a few exceptions. I had a chicken Caesar salad with dressing on the side. The dressing did not taste like a typical Caesar dressing. Also, I like my lettuce in bite size as well as the chicken. Other than that, we had an excellent meal with great service in a unique setting. You might want to think about fixing up the downstairs bathroom for women....it is shabby and the old toilets are way too low to the ground.

We went for the Mother’s Day buffet. The food was terrible. You would expect that at a cheap buffet. However this buffet was $60 per person and it was at the Madonna Inn. The decor is neat, it looks good. That was the best part.

The place is well decorated and it's high end. The food was great. We went on a Saturday for a party of 7. The placed seemed like there were weddings booked that day. The bathroom was not usual as it wasn't kept up. Rolls of paper towels on the floor, seat covers was not available. I expected a more cleaner restroom given that the place is well known for it's ambiance and decorations.

This place is truly magical! My 4-year-old daughter absolutely loves that you can dance and have a fancy dinner (with cake!) in the same place. The dining room is truly unique and one of our family's favorites to celebrate special occasions. Portions are big so come hungry!

I have been going to Madonna Inn since 1962 and attended many special occasions there. Our experience on Friday night with out of town guests was terrible with the food. Not one of five of us thought the food was good and so disappointed since in the past it was really good. The meals were surf n turf special, halibut, fried chicken & prime rib salad - and no one was impressed with their meal. The only good thing was the baked potato. I will even call the manager of the steak house, because I am sad at the quality now after all these years being so good. I will not be taking out of town guest there anymore & if my guests want to see Madonna Inn, I will just take them for a walk through and eat somewhere else. I really think Alex and Phyliss would be so disappointed in the quality of the food today.

We were dining at the Alex Madonna Steakhouse for my daughter's birthday. We were seated right away and our server - Griffin - did an amazing job making us feel welcome and we'll take care of. The drinks were great. The wine was very good and reasonably priced and the steaks were amazing! That along with the baked potatoes, salad and veggies made the evening wonderful. We finished off with Black Forest cake that was out of this world.

Stayed at Madonna Inn for a spa girls Getaway and the overall experience was simply marvelous. I made reservations for 7 PM on a Sunday evening at the gold rush steakhouse, The over the top old school decorations and vibe is perfect. It is always a treat to eat there you feel very pampered and the food is definitely high quality and the portions are huge, the service Mindy provided us was impeccable.

Go here for a slice of Pink Champaign Cake and maybe a drink...no meal. Paid $57 for a steak with no flavor. I'll pass on that. The weirdest Roquefort dressing I have ever seen. It's so over the top weird/funky, but not worth the money to experience it. My Cal Poly daughter will never go near that place again. I felt bad for taking her here on her birthday weekend.

We went there for our prom dinner and it was great. Wait staff were very pleasant and responsive to our asks. Food was great! I had the steak (filet mignon) and it was delicious. The Madonna Inn steak house helped make our Prom evening a great memory! I will be back and would recommend to friends and family.

Step back in time and think PINK! Such a blast to dine here. Delicious steaks. A fun, nostalgic atmosphere. Pushy old ladies in fur coats asking for drinks at the bar. You have to embrace the experience. It's a delight beyond description!

We were celebrating a 45th anniversary for our parents with our twin girls when the band started playing, everyone was on the dance floor and some of the dancers seemed semi-pro. My four year old twin girls were amazed by everything pink and wouldn’t stop dancing. Overall it was a great experience and we can’t wait to drive up from San Diego again.
