The Food and Service were amazing as always.
Excellent value. Home made pasta. Sicilian experience true and true.
The dishes we ordered were average tasting and small in size.
Overall it was a disappointing experience other than excellent service.
Lovely Sardinian restaurant for lunch or dinner. Good value, delicious food, interesting menu, lovely wait staff.
Great find! We went for brunch and the food was fantastic!
Decent gluten free options for my wife who has celiac disease. However, some of the dishes were a bit bland. We dined here before a Broadway show and the service was slow. I had prix fixe meal of eggplant parmigiana with a cesar salad and dessert for $41, but didn't get the dessert because we had to run to the show.
Very nice dinner at a good price. A great place to meet friends for dinner.
The food and service were EXCELLENT, as always. Since morning to the Upper Westside, this has been our “go to” restaurant.
Arrived at 5 - before the specials were posted but our meals were delish!! Definitely going back!!
Lovely neighborhood Sardinian restaurant. Everything suggested to us from wine to appetizers and main courses were great. Recommended.
Please try the housemade pasta dishes. It is hard to find pasta that good and that fresh. I could not stop eating it!
I found the place very romantic!
As excellent as always. I have never had a bad meal at Arco and the service is always amazing.
Great neighbourhood bistro for lunch. Quiet meetup for friends. The homemade pasta was wonderful and the prix-fix menu was very reasonable. Best of all, we had wonderful, attentive service and free bonus drinks in celebration of a birthday.
Very friendly and excellent food. We had delicious fish.
Reservation system was non existent. Waited 30+min from reserved time
great experience, although understaffed for the evening
Very easy place to like-friendly staff, good food with a slightly Sardinian twist, warm appearance. It was pretty franticonValentines Day, but that’s to be expected ina population place that clearly appealed to a lot of regulars. Felt sorry for the singer, who had a good voice but was hard to hear above the din of the patrons and the acoustics of an old tin ceiling.
Great decoration and overall feel of the spot. Fun Italian themed works all over the wall and the tables were spaced appropriately so you never felt cramped. Food has good, but nothing to write home about. The best feature of every dish was the actual ingredients themselves rather then their preparation. The prosciutto was without a doubt the best part of the meal, very high quality with a classic strong flavor elevated an overall sound dish.
As always Arco is a pleasant and economical spot for lunch. The food is fresh and well prepared. If you love pasta, theirs is home made, not out of a box. The minestrone is full of vegetables so you needn't feel guilty eating out. The service is always pleasant and obliging. The prix fixe lunch is a great bargain. Only complaint...last time there was a baby who occasionally fussed a bit.
Have recommended it to friends and will continue to do so.
Excellent food we ordered 6 different meals and they were all unique and delicious!
This is a true neighborhood gem. Arco's homemade pasta is first-class, the meat and fish dishes are always excellent, and the place has an unpretentious friendliness that is as comforting as the food. The wine list has provided consistently good reds and whites. And Arco is authentic--real-deal Sardinian cuisine, delivered with charm and at very reasonable prices.
I must be honest. It was my first time there and I had a very mixed experience. A new friend recommended the place and I was looking forward to trying it. The place is very casual. It was a weird beginning in that they required my Amex card to hold the OpenTable reservation and I had only done that a very few times with high-end restaurants on busy days. They said I would pay a penalty if I didn't call in time to cancel - but they didn't give the details of those possible charges and when exactly they would be incurred. Also weird. I knew I wouldn't be canceling, so I didn't worry. My friend's gnocchi was good - though I didn't try it. My other friend had an omelette and deemed it okay. The potatoes on the side looked like they were half-way between home fries and mashed potatoes. My chicken rollatini or whatever (chicken rolled up with spinach and cheese and mushrooms) was mediocre at best. And it's hard to do, but the mashed potatoes pretty much sucked. When I tried to get the second waitress to put lots of pepper on the potatoes to make up for the tastelessness of them, after a few requests for more pepper as she was dispensing it, I asked if she could just leave it so I could add more later, and she said no. Also so weird. There apparently were no pepper dispensers to leave on the table. Hmm. My friend liked his chocolate cake. I tried the olive oil cake - not so great. My friend liked it better and she ate the whole piece (it was her order). As it filled up for a Sunday brunch, it got louder and I realized the acoustics weren't great. Oh well. The wine was reasonably priced and good. One waitress - our main one - was quite sweet and accommodating. I did notice, even though it wasn't busy when we first got there at noon, it took us almost 40 min. to get our meal. But we were talking and didn't notice or care that much. Sadly, even though my neighborhood sucks for good restaurants, this is not one I will be going back to. I was so hopeful!
Small and friendly with very good, homey Italian food, well prepared.
I was looking for a Sardinian restaurant and this is it. The only one I found in Manhattan.
The food is good. I loved the music paper bread This is a small unassuming local place. I was puzzled by their requirement to guarantee a reservation with a credit card.
Overall, based on only one visit I admit, this is a very good New York neighborhood restaurant featuring Sicilian-style Italian cooking. I had one dish that was spectacular (the baby octopus appetizer) and one of the pasta dishes which was good, but no more than that. The desserts were as expected and delicious. The place is not large, it is warm and welcoming, and the staff is attentive and very pleasant. There is a full bar, and the wines are largely Italian, some excellent. I would definitely return and try other dishes. A truly obese person would not fit in one of the truly compact bathrooms.
Very nice neighborhood Italian/Sardinian - excellent pasta and salads with a cozy, casual atmosphere. Very good service as well.
Perfect New Year’s Eve choice.
They are Sicilian. I am Sicilian by heritage. I can cook. They are so much better than I am. The nicest service. The most splendid food. All of it. And a lovely neighborhood ambiance as well. Isola on Columbus and 109 is very very good, also Sicilian . Arch sets a new standard.
Oh, did I mention that the entire staff is remarkably nice. What a lovely place.
Great neighborhood restaurant. Charming, small, brick wall, small bar, attentive service, restaurant-made pasta, unusual dishes, very good prices.
Food was delicious but could have been served hotter. My friend and I both had pasta dishes which were really good.
Good food, it could be hotter, consistently warm. Quiet, peaceful place.
The food is authentic and delicious! And I know my pasta! The wine list needs to be expanded and the ambiance could use a little tweaking, but I would absolutely go back. They also should not require a credit card number to hold a reservation. I almost decided not to go there because of that policy..... and the place was not full on a thursday night so there is no reason for it, at least on a weekday.
We love Arco. It's a pleasant place. The antipasto for $19 fed 4 with ample portions all around. Branzino was very good, especially the pile of broccoli rabe it was sitting on. Great wine by the glass.
Fresh fish and sautéed vegetables were a great option for gluten-free, paleo diner with our group. House wine was a nice addition.
The menu includes excellent pastas and fish dishes. The environment is warm and cozy.
Really friendly staff and best Branzine I’ve ever had!
Authentic Sardinian food ata very reasonable price!
Love this local true Italian restaurant! We’ve eaten here about four times in th last year and I think if you are looking for delicious food, cozy atmosphere and wine, Arco is it
Food is authentic, delicious and reasonable
Good wine selection.
Arco Cafe is delicious. Food is very fresh, wonderfully prepared and great Sardinian dishes.
