   One of our favorite Austin spots. Dinner was terrific: including the chicken parmigiana, the lamb pasta, the linguine with clams, a pizza margarita, and the carbonara plus salads, shared arancini, and a few folks had mussels too. Two folks enjoyed the affogato and two of us loved the lemon strawberry sorbet. Julia was a terrific server, but as always, service is a team effort at Asti and lots of people took care of us.

   Service was great. Food was good, not exceptional….Needed a bit more seasoning. Ambiance was fair….tables are very close and seating is not very comfortable. We knew way too much about the dining parties on both sides of us without trying!

   The restaurant indoors is acceptable, but when we entered we were received by an unpleasant smell, so we requested a table outside to escape the smell. Outside was pleasant, with a very nice awning, but there were a lot of flies, so eating there was having to fight constantly to avoid them. The food was good, nothing remarkable. I don't plan on returning.

   While we often get pasta, we opted for fish and found my salmon and my husband's trout to be prepared beautifully with tasty sides and sauces. The service here is always amazing--attentive, friendly, relaxed, but professional. We love how the owner and chef, along with wait staff, greet us with such enthusiasm. Great spot for food and atmosphere. Consistently satisfying!

   We went for a second visit to Asti Trattoria with our older children, and enjoyed it immensely! Their mussels appetizer was fantastic, and the owner, Chris, surprised us with 4 glasses of bubbly to start off our meal! We enjoyed the Chicken Piccata, and the Lasagna for our mains, and loved the desserts as well! Kudos for great food at good prices, and lovely service!

    This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. This time the guanciale in the carbonara was overcooked and burnt, but they did make it right. We’ll still be back.

    Asti does not make any pretensions to be a fine dining Italian restaurant but is more of a long time neighborhood bistro. Vibe is casual, and service is attentive. The menu is not extensive, but what they have is fresh and balanced in the flavors. The fact you can bring wine for corkage is also a big plus!

    We had a lovely experienced waitress who was very familiar with menu and made some nice recommendations. The food was delicious and generous. We started with the ratatouille— so flavorful. I would rather have it with some crusty rustic bread rather than a soft ciabatta— just a personal preference. For a main dish we shared a seafood risotto, beautifully presented and served with a light brothy tomato-based sauce. Atmosphere is lively, friendly and casual — the perfect neighborhood eatery, sadly disappearing from Austin’s landscape. I hope the prices stay affordable.

    Everyone at Asti is so welcoming, it feels like going home. We started with the white pie (always) and also had white bean dip. Both excellent. Next I had the braised lamb dish that was wonderful. Since it was a birthday dinner, we splurged on the Tirmasou and Crème Brûlée, which were both delicious.

    Our server kept careful track of our food sensitivities and gave us helpful recommendations. The outdoor seating was relatively quiet and so comfortable on a warm night. Our food was delicious except for one dish, which was removed from our bill when our server heard my friend express that it was not everything she had wanted. There was even a delicate gluten-free cake for dessert, which is very rare at a restaurant that does not specialize in gluten-free food. Such a positive experience! I don’t think I have ever had better service. We will definitely be coming back.

    We were really excited to come here based on the reviews. Unfortunately the food was bland and over priced. The risotto was undercooked, it sounded like the table next to us had a similar complaint. The mussels appetizer had a burnt taste. We’re hoping they were just having an off night.. not sure if we will be back. The service was great.

    We are frequent flyers at Asti. Chef Brian runs a great team and, of course, the food is fantastic and authentic. I love Asti and personally think it’s the best Italian restaurant in Austin.

    Delicious food! Manager, not sure, was VERY attentive and provided a personal touch in celebrating my Partner’s 4/1 birthday. Our server was upbeat and delightful working in such a high pace restaurant, without feeling high paced as a customer.

    Our server was amazing and we loved the new canopied outdoor setup! The food was great, my husband had the mushroom barley risotto special and I had their salmon dish. The cut of salmon was great, I would have loved a tad few more veggies with it, but the presentation was beautiful.

    Asti never disappoints. The food is well prepared, arrives quickly and service is always right on point. They also have a nice wine list with an interesting selection spread over a wide variety of price points. There is something for everyone on it.
