Diners' Choice Winners: Best Overall
Bath's best restaurants based upon thousands of OpenTable diner reviews
We ate from the vegan menu and the food was different, delicious and beautifully presented. The customer service was excellent, we were made to feel like everything revolves around us but at the same time we were not pestered, hovered over or hurried at any time. We will definitely return. Our experience on Friday evening, despite the inn being really busy, was that of attentive service and at no time did we feel forgotten! I had the duck which was cooked to perfection and I would highly recommend. The inn is cosy and welcoming and I cannot wait for our next date night. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Bath is an extraordinarily beautiful city, well known for its Roman baths, and we’re proud to bring some more modern Italian culture in the form of truly authentic Italian cooking. Ingredients straight from Italy, fresh produce and a brilliant blend of traditional dishes and contemporary cuisine, made with gusto and served with warmth. Whatever your favourite Italian meal might be, there’s something on the menu to suit your palette. You’ll find the ASK Italian restaurant on Bath’s George Street, within ten minutes of the city’s most popular attractions. So if you’re visiting Bath Abbey, the Roman baths or Thermae Bath Spa, admiring exhibits at the Victoria Art Gallery or Museum of East Asian Art, or just planning a night out at the Odeon cinema or the Forum, make time to treat your taste buds too. You can even hire part of the restaurant for private functions such as birthdays and hen parties, with space for 20 guests or more.More
Duende is what happens when a local food hero gets his hands on great West Country produce. Working with seasonal, hyper local produce, Chef Tim Zekki brings food that is casual in style, and fine in provenance. The vibe is modern and unpretentious.
Zekki’s food borrows from his Cypriot childhood, with influences from the wider Mediterranean, and beyond, using some of the best produce to be found in the local surrounding countryside. The menu is complemented with wines, spirits and local beers.
Expect the eclectic.
Duende opened November 2017, on the heart of the historic market town Wiveliscombe on the edge of Exmoor, nestled in the Brendon Hills. Duende is in a Georgian listed building, combining the traditional with contemporary. Duende will initially be open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening.More

Our hidden gem, tucked away in Bath’s City Centre - it’s small, snug but oh so special.
You'll find The Salamander just off Queen Square in the heart of the Georgian city of Bath. The premises consist of a well-stocked bar on the ground floor, cosy corners to sit and eat, and plenty more seating upstairs.
The Salamander menu has long been known for its good mix of traditional pub classics including "Bath Ales “SPA" beer-battered Fish & Chips”, alongside more modern British cuisine, to suit all palettes.
The pub attracts an eclectic mix of customers, and our staff are as happy to talk about brewing as they are to have a topical debate.More
