Perfect birthday lunch for my lady wife. The service, presentation, food and wine were all top-notch and the bloody mary's served prior to lunch in the bar were some of the best I have tasted, and I have tasted a few. As Bathonians, it is jolly nice to know that there is somewhere on our doorstep to enjoy on special occasions and I would unhesitatingly recommend Dan Moon at the Gainsborough to anyone seeking a special dining experience. A big shout out to all the staff at Martini -front of house and kitchen - for serving an excellent meal and helping to make my daughter’s 21st birthday celebration a memorable one! We arrived just after 6pm on a Wednesday evening and were seated along the wall opposite the bar (there are more private, cosier areas towards the back). It was quiet at first but very busy by the time we were leaving. The staff were very friendly and attentive and we were not kept waiting at any stage. My daughter’s dessert was accompanied by a rendition of Happy Birthday, which was really nice and not something we had asked for. The food was superb. We especially liked the Mozzarella Infornata and the Pollo Martini but the pizzas were also very good. There was nothing to find fault with. Just a shame we live so far away because we would return in the blink of an eye. Have already recommended to friends in Wiltshire. A class restaurant! E More

The food was amazing and fresh with home-made sauce's. We all loved the menu and the food. The place was very clean and welcoming and the bar tender who served us was very polite and had very good conversation and was funny. It was very comfortable and it was a nice peaceful place to grab a nice meal on a week day. 10/10. Personally this is the best place to get a burger in Bath. I've been to every burger place in bath and this place tops them all. More

A return to a restaurant we have patronised many times in the past but not in recent months. On a quiet evening, we were welcomed back by our regular waiter. The menu, although limited in terms of choice, was very tempting. 2 courses for £27, 3 courses for £33 is high for the area but quality costs more. More

The lunchtime 2-3 course menu has a good range of options at very reasonable prices. The food was top quality - good size portions of excellently presented dishes of spot-on tasty meals. I was surprised at how busy it was on a Wednesday lunchtime, but having eaten the food I can understand why! The staff looked after us well. A raucous birthday party close by, who were really enjoying the food, drink and ambiance, were the only (slight) negative. We will be eating there again, soon. More
