Beautiful surroundings set next to the Mission Inn. Service was great and all our meals were delicious. The lasagna and the chicken parm outstanding!

A horrible evening; never coming back again. The problems started before we even arrived. There was nowhere to park within half a mile of the restaurant, apart from a lot that charged $30. The restaurant had previously charged us a $25 deposit, warning that we would lose it if we failed to arrive within ten minutes of the reservation time. Thanks to the parking situation, we arrived with a minute to spare. There was a guitarist playing with amplifiers next to the check-in podium. The receptionist initially wanted to seat us right next to him, where the noise would have been so loud that it would have been impossible for my wife and I to talk to each other. I had to push hard for us to be seated far enough away for this not to be a problem, despite the restaurant being almost empty at the time. Then the fun really started. We had both looked at the menu in advance on their website, and decided on a pizza. We knew from eating there several years ago that this could be done without cheese (my wife is vegan and I am lactose intolerant). Upon trying to order, the server told us that they had run out of pizza dough (an Italian restaurant on a Saturday night running out of pizza dough?!) and that pizza was off the menu. We were forced to order entrees that we didn't really want. When my wife's food arrived, she took one or two bites and remarked that it tasted funny. We called the waiter back, and asked what the ingredients were. He recited a list that included Parmesan cheese, despite having told us when ordering that the recipe was vegan! We asked to speak to a manager, who was surface level apologetic, but gave the impression that he didn't really care. A broken night with an upset stomach followed for my wife. I have filed a complaint about this place with the Riverside County public health department, because this restaurant could be lethal for someone with a serious, as in anaphylactic level, allergy. For everyone else, just stay away.

Food was good. Nothing I'd brag about, but if you're looking for fresh Italian its probably the best in the immediate area. Felt rushed despite the dinner room only having a couple other tables full. Waitress brought our check when I was still halfway through my entree. Was probably there for 30-35 mins total. She could have been new, but it was pretty awkward. Ambiance was excellent. Despite being inside it had an outdoor charm. Cool temperature inside while being over 100 outside. Could stare at the walls and ceiling for hours. I'd go there again, but likely wouldn't be my first choice.

We went here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were seated outside even though we had a reservation. Our waitress brought me the wrong drink. When my order was corrected we were told the first waitress who took my order assigned herself our table without permission. The food was delicious and the lights outside were pretty. Our service was very slow. When were the last table seated on the patio, an individual walking by climbed over the patio fence and started drinking out of a left over glass from another guest. He proceeded to wander to the tables near us and made us feel very unsafe. The waitress didn’t even notice his presence at first. The night before we ate at the Mission Inn steakhouse. The waiter there asked us about our stay and made us feel special. I would not say the same for this restaurant. Eat at the steakhouse if you want a special night out.

Excellent food. Great selection. I recommend the cannoli. Loved the feeling of being outside without being outside.

All pasta comes pre made and then is cooked with in house made sauces. Spaghetti and meatballs came with two massive meatballs each the size of a baseball. Innkeepers spicy penne was extremely greasy, there was a pool of grease at the bottom of the dish. The bbq chicken pizza was the only semi decent dish of the night. Also note while they have a full liquor license they have only chosen to have aperitif and gin based drinks on the menu and no option to make anything that wasn’t on the menu, which I found odd as the rest of the mission inn restaurants have full bars and will make you any drink you want even if it’s not on the cocktail menu.

Good food, good service. Food came out really fast. The place feels improvised though and there is no AC, the place gets tooooo toasty during summer.
