   Food was good as always. The restaurant was not really busy at all when we arrived, but it took nearly 10 minutes before our server made it to us. The rest of the evening was much of the same. Not the usual for this restaurant, so we won’t hold it against them, but will monitor on future visits.

   We thought everything was excellent. The only thing that could have been improved is the service from the bar was slow to come to our table. Still, no complaints. We had an enjoyable meal.

   I had the shrimp and grits, sounded appealing. Overall it was ok. Didn't need 1/3 cup of sauce drowning the plate to the point I couldn't taste anything other than the sauce. Supposed to have cheese grits Didn't taste any cheese and they were undercooked. Shrimp were ok. The plate was just a heavy meal. Mother in law got the blackened Mahi and asked for light seasoning ended up with not even a dusting and the fish was so overcooked that even the pineapple salsa and the vegetable stir fry couldn't help it. Yes we could've said something but I'm of the belief don't complain and you chose the dish so if anything give feedback so they can make any changes they may want to if need. Overall tasty just needs some editing is all. Would go back and try again could've been a one off

   Nice restaurant with excellent menu selection. PEI muscles were exceptional. They were out of trout and some of the prices on the gluten free menu were out of date. Our server seemed a less efficient than the others and tended to forget things. Would love to go back with a different server. Oberall still a good experience

    First time at Blue Fin, we were just looking for a nice place to sit down for dinner. The food was tasty, and the drinks were amazing. I really enjoyed date night with my girlfriend. We had a wonderful experience.

    We were in Columbia to attend a practice round at the Masters the next day. I found your restaurant online and picked it because it was a little more upscale than some of the others near our hotel and it wasn’t the same as what we have at home in Myrtle Beach. It also had good reviews. Our only negative comment was that my husband’s Mahi was too salty tasting for him.

    It’s was okay. We made reservations and still had to wait. Upon arrival to the table, the table wasn’t cleaned properly or set up. We had to ask for utensils and to wipe down all the stickiness. Waitress wasn’t familiar with the menu and could not give us recommendations. Food took a while to arrive but it was cooked as desired and tasted very good. Crème brûlée was ok. The chocolate spoon was delicious. Veggie rolls were Amazing as well as the fried calamari. The restaurant cleanliness could be better. It has potential but seems like it might be understaffed.

    Chose restaurant based on Open Table reservation availability that met our needs and number of stars without reading reviews. In town to watch U of SC baseball and not knowing the area, we did not realize how vast Columbia is spread out. Do not let the drive keep you from trying this restaurant. All 6 of us enjoyed our meal and we each ordered something different. Portions were plentiful, presentation was beautiful and food tasted great. Would recommend for any adult occasion. Like all restaurants these days, service was slightly slow, but our server, Lauren was pleasant and took good care of us. Recommend reservations. We were there on a Saturday night and wait was 45 mins without reservation.

    Traveling and Blue Fin seemed like a decent choice. Not bad but definitely overrated! Salmon over cooked and entire meal over salted! Hamburger mediocre. Wedge salad very good! All in all not bad for traveling.

    The food and drinks were delicious. My steak was cooked better and to the right temperature in comparison to one of the most recommended/fancy steakhouses in town. Our waitress was a rockstar, and we really enjoyed it there. We will be back!!

    It was my birthday and my girlfriend had brought a cake to the restaurant earlier. The wait staff had promised to serve it as a surprise dessert. They totally forgot about the cake, then botched up serving it, and immediately threw away the box making it a challenge to carry home. Our waitress was inept. It appeared that the staff in general poorly trained.

    I’m not sure if the restaurant was short staffed but it took the waiter 20 mins to greet us and once and took our order it took a additional 20 mins for the Bartender to make a kamikaze shot that he used house vodka for when I specifically asked for Grey Goose. I had to ask 3 times for bread from 3 different staff members. The waiter did bring the entrees timely but my sides were really mushy and at that point I didn’t want to say anything else because i knew it would either take longer or they would not be able to send a substitute. I’m really disappointed in this visit I usually have very positive experiences and great food

    The Blue Fin to me is a definite location for a special occasions. We had a great server, who check continuously checked on us and made suggestions to us. She was very knowledgeable of the menu and read our thoughts when we were ordering. Both of our plates came out piping hot, which my husband (a restaurant mgr.) loves! Ambiance was great, no loud noises and our table was right near the bar! As travel agents, we will be visiting again.

    Our Valentine’s dinner was absolutely incredible. My husband is very finicky regarding dining out. However, he had nothing but praise for his first dining experience at your restaurant. The good, dessert and drinks were all 5 stars. We will definitely dine again.
