Bocca Di Lupo
We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.
What Insiders Are Saying
If you want to know where to find the best Italian food in Soho is, it’s at Bocca di Lupo.
Great food and atmosphere. Recommend sitting at the counter.
Absolutely the best food ever!!!! My favourite restaurant in London. Thank you.
We sat on the stools by the kitchen, so watched the whole process. We chose small starters - sage leaves with anchovy, boccacini; small risotto and palma ham with pickled aubergine and then the roast teal. We shared all dishes. And had a nice chianti in a carafe.
Busy atmosphere, good staff and service.
My only issue was the eagerness to move us on, when finished !
Delicious food (though one of us had a problem with the escarole!) and very attentive waiter. Thank you!
Wonderful restaurant and great service. Food is really interesting and varied.
Overall a great experience.
Fabulous food, attentive and friendly staff, great all round. A must for those who enjoy good food.
Friendly, attentive service and delicious food. Not a whole lot of vegetarian/vegan options, but the ones they did have were amazing.
Bocca di Lupo is my favourite restaurant in London - I love the food, the staff , the atmosphere - a very special place.
I was disappointed that we were seated at the bar instead of a table. There wasn’t any mention of that when I made the reservation or when they called to confirm. You should be told that when booking or confirming. The bar at the restaurant is at an awkward height for dining and doesn’t make for a great experience.
Excellent food, well presented in relaxing but buzzy environment.
Interesting pre theater. Very limited menu.
A totally nice surprise. Our family of five showed up a bit casually dressed, and when we walked in we thought, “oh, no! Too fancy” and we expected high tourist prices and bad food. We could not have been more wrong. Everything was tasty (recommend the broccoli and buratta appetizer) and my son loved his whole mackerel. I loved the price! Dinner for five, cocktails, five glasses of wine, and dessert. All for under 130 quid. I cannot even begin to imagine what this would have cost in the theater district of Boston.
Had lunch with my daughter, it was our first visit. We were seated at the counter, this gave us a good idea of all the activities in the open kitchen: hectic but well organised. Our waiter was very friendly and advised us really well on what dishes to pick and how many. The sharing dishes were served in high tempo, we loved all of them and were well ratisfied at the end of the meal with just enough space left fot the cassata, cake with ricotta and marzipan. Overall, we enjoyed it much, we highly recommend this restaurant!
Amazing food as always and great service!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent food with a wait staff offering good service
We were there for Boxing Day dinner. It was fussy. There wasn’t anything we had that we would order again. My 21 year old daughter said it best when we asked if she wanted dessert: Mo thanks. I don’t want to be disappointed again.
Great food , good service, good vibe
We loved every minute
The menu always surprises with new and interesting dishes along side their classics. Inventive or re-purposed simple versions of wonderful echt Italian ingredients that are always truly sumptuous and delicious. Lovely people that really care about creating a feastlike atmosphere for guests.
Absolutely loved the food here and had a wonderful time. However we ended up with a seat at the counter for my girlfriends birthday despite requesting a normal table.
Sitting at the counter was uncomfortable, strangely organised in terms of place settings and cramped. Our waiter (David) was incredible and quickly made us forget about this.
The seating sadly cast a slightly negative turn on our otherwise great meal.
Would go again as long as we didn't have a counter seat.
Our third visit. From the welcome, with lovely low level lighting throughout,We went on to enjoy authentic regional Italian cuisine.God willing there will be many more visits to what is now my favourite London restaurant.
Atrocious service really slow and not bothered and both game birds overcooked and rubbery. Used to be amazing here!
The food is excellent - and authentic. Sitting at the bar and watching the cooks work is a delight and rather hypnotic. The choice of small or large plates means you can opt to taste more dishes by sticking to the smaller portions. The "Trippa e Guanciale" is delicious, as are the Puntarelle, both tricky to find at all - and certainly net executed so beautifully - outside of Rome.
Always delicious. Great atmosphere.
We were warmly welcomed. I had mistakenly booked at the bar but they managed to find us a table.
Our food was delicious and we had a lovely meal including two glasses of champagne as it was my daughter’s birthday.
Service was attentive and prompt even though they were very busy with pre theatre bookings.
It was pretty loud, maybe too many tables? But the food was excellent
Well executed dishes, will definitely return again! That would be my 4th time!
Wonderful as always, great food, great service, excellent wine menu and fab vibe what mire could you want?
I had been recommended Bocca di Lupo many times from Foodie friends and it did not disappoint! The quality and taste of the food and wine was superb only surpassed by the excellent and professional wait staff. Thank you very much and am already looking forward to my next visit.
Little confined space by very friendly and enjoyable!
We ate late on Saturday night. Everything was outstanding: the food, the service, the ambience. What a fantastic place.
The best meal I've had for ages- why has it taken me so long to discover?
Another great meal at this lovely restaurant. Sat at the bar before theatre trip , every dish a delight. great friendly Italian service . thankyou
Really good place for the ambience and the food. The service was also excellent. True Italian with a difference!
Way too noisy. Impossible to talk with my family at the table. We left very quickly
Brilliant meal again on the chefs counter and so nice to see familiar faces in the kitchen after a year. We will return when we can.
We had a totally fanatstic lunch at Bocca di Luo. As usual service was impeccable - friendly, warm, knowledgeable, professional, attentive. We kicked off with perfect, punchy Negronis. The food was exceptional, in particular the agnolotti de plin which was a stuffed pasta in a sublime butter and cheese sauce. Always satisfying I would say this restaurant ranks with Barrafina as being among the top two in Soho.
Disappointed to be told that our reservation wpuld mean our having to sut at the chef's table, i.e. bar, but it turned out to be very entertaining despite the jostling from passing waiting staff and diners. Interesting menu, well cooked food and good wines. I can recommend the milk-free espresso gelato if you don't fancy or haven't got time for a full dessert. A little pricey for what you get but probably worth it at least once in a while.
Always excellent here.
The food was fresh and well prepared, interesting choices and a separate list to accommodate any food allergies which was extremely helpful.
