Bocca Di Lupo
We specialise in the obscure and the delicious highlights of food and wine from all across Italy's twenty regions. If we can make something ourselves, we do - gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mostarda, and pasta of course - the rest is carefully sourced from Italy. A selection of Italian wines and home-made and imported foods is available for delivery, along with our famous gelato, from Gelupo.
What Insiders Are Saying
If you want to know where to find the best Italian food in Soho is, it’s at Bocca di Lupo.
Wonderful time! All excellent! Highly Recommend!
I like Bocca di Lupo a lot. Service can feel rushed at times and I wish they’d sort this out. Food is generally outstanding and the baccalà, sausage, monkfish and granita all were. My rigatoni was over cooked which was unfortunate.
Wine was great and it’s so well located I’m happy to overlook some mild irritations. The quality of ingredients is hard to overlook.
Bocca Di Lupo is always great. Simple Italian food at it's best. Great to share plates. But we always end up skipping desserts, great thought they are, and simply grabbing a massive tub of Gelato from across the road.
Great food! It’s tapas style really as portions are small (so much better for me!) but so delicious.
I had bruschetta and Trofie with pesto. Each dish has its provenance next to it on the menu so my friend’s lettuce was from Sperlonga. I doubt that is where the actual lettuce came from but he was served what looked like a whole lettuce and it had taste! He was thrilled with what he ate. We drank very nice rose. Service was good-it is very busy pre-theatre so booking is essential. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved the food and wine, superb menu
The Chef ^s counter was crowded and noisy - great atmosphere
Food good but everything a little rushed. Very noisy place.
Maybe the best meal of my life.
One word: EXCEPTIONAL (food, wine, service, ambience)
I cannot recommend this restaurant more highly.
The BEST in London Six out of Five Stars
Bocca Di Lupo never disappoints! Love the menu - varied, most items available small/large. Everything is super fresh, simple and delicious!
Love sitting at the counter watching the chefs and seeing all the amazing food they prepare. Such coordination and skill - a really well run kitchen!
Service it professional and attentive without being overly fussy. Great wines by the glass/carafe.
The food is absolutely fantastic, some of the best Italian you will have in London!
Great authentic Italian and an amazing wine list.
Very good small dishes. Friendly staff. Timing of the dishes feels a bit rushed like they are trying to get you out ASAP.
Nice restaurant. Loved sitting at the bar/chefs table. Perfect for parties of 1-2 diners. Varied menu focused on Italian small and large dishes, something for everyone. Wait staff was professional and attentive. Enjoyed watching the coolest, calmest kitchen staff I’ve ever seen turn out extraordinary dishes effortlessly. We went with a series of small plates... tasty seafood risotto, chicken Marsala and spaghetti. Only thing I would change is the number of stools at the counter. It’s a bit tight and I think the dining experience would be greatly enhanced by removing 1-2 stools.
Bocca is just amazing. Incredible. I would gladly eat here every day both lunch and dinner.
We dined at Bocca Di Lupo for our friends bachelorette party. The food was very authentic and the staff extremely accommodating and we even got one bubbly each on the house! Strongly recommended.
My family were visiting for ascot and can be quite fussy about their food. The service was amazing, catering for everyone’s taste
Excellent Restaurant, would recommend to anyone. Definitely deserves the 5 stars advertised
The food was lovely but we were sat at the bars on stalls made for tall people only so it was a little uncomfortable. Try get a table!
Great food, great service, great ambience at a reasonable price.
Excellent food and casual dining experience
Good experience overall
Freshly cooked food, a great wine list and attentive service. Will be back.
Great food, staff were lovely, delicious wine list.
Fantastic service, the waiter chose all our dishes to share and they were all delicious!
Great food, Great service. Perfect atmosphere. Definitely going back
Delicious menu but one main course came up cold and had to be remade. Sitting at the bar was fun and the restaurant had a good buzzy atmosphere. Will go again
Nothing interesting but kinda expensive
The food was exceptional, solid service, excellent martini, and very fun/hip but comfortable vibe.
Not our first time here but we hadn't been for about 3 years.
We had a lovely welcome and were shown to our table. One of my guests had a coat with her and nowhere to hang it but when she asked the waiter to help he was a bit dismissive and said he was seeing to someone else and would get to her in a minute, leaving her holding her coat.
When he then came to the table, having by now taken the coat, he took drink orders but kept leaning right over me to put menus down, take glasses away etc. I can see why (because the restaurant is quite cramped) but surely this can be done better. I was frequently having to lean out of the way!
I will now stop moaning and get on to the food. It was gorgeous. Everything I remember about Bocca, and so I will still no doubt go back.
Perfect place for pre theatre dinner. I much prefer to sit at the counter and watch the chefs prepare the very tasty food. Wine by the glass is expensive but there is a great selection.
Seaonal menu but just as good with every visit . One of the best Italian restaurants in London.
Amazing food, amazing staff. So worth a visit! Every dish was cooked perfectly
We went for a pre-theatre dinner. Service was friendly, helpful and efficient. The food was tasty and fresh - the sea bream carpaccio was particularly good.
Was very happy with food and ambience. Was disappointed by the early closing of kitchen given we had made a booking for 10.30pm so felt rushed.
Seating aligns with the theatre schedule so booking is essential. Efficient, polite service. It’s best to go with a medium sized group and share the dishes amongst the table.
Great pre theatre place to meet and eat
Fantastic experience, our waiter was really great, he recommended dishes from the menu, and considering the restaurant was really busy, the food came out quickly.
Food quality is very average. Service scattered and lacks attention to detail. It was my friend’s birthday and i requested for a candle to arrive on the dessert and was told it will be done but then wasn’t. Good potential, poor execution.
