Brasserie Sixty6 Ratings and Reviews
We had a lovely night at Brasserie Sixty 6 for my Birthday celebrations last Saturday night,we enjoyed a lovely meal with a great variety of food to choose from and a lovely bottle of wine, the service was fantastic and all waiters were very attentive and nothing was a problem, they sang Happy Birthday to me and there was a few Birthdays that night but they sang to everybody we had a great night will be back again and would be recommending Brasserie Sixty 6 to everybody.
Another great night, food is excellent and the cocktails are a great end to a fantastic meal- though the deserts were very tempting . And the staff and just wonderful, if only every restaurant could have the caliber of staff that B66 have dining out would be a true joy.
The service was quick and the staff very polite. We got two egg dishes which were delicious and had really good portion sizes. Two of my friends got pancakes which were small and disappointing particularly for the price.
This was our second time here. First time was for brunch. Second time for dinner with friends visiting from the UK. Lovely meal both times. The woman who served us was wonderful (from Brazil). Great service, tasty meals. Nice all around. And that Caesar Salad! If you get it as a starter, you might consider a lighter main course. It's huge and yummy!
Took the waiter 20 minutes to visit our table for the first time, he only came by once or twice and was rushing. Food was average at best. Came here a year ago and it was the exact opposite, 5 stars. But it seems things have gone way downhill since then. I would give the service negative stars if I could.
I took some colleagues here for a work dinner, and the food and service were impeccable. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening, and their meals. Great choice of meals to suit all tastes. I had the tandoori chicken wings. They were excellent.
Arrived at 9pm (on time) to a Que at the door. A little unorganized in that there was no separation between booked and non booked patrons. (We had booked our table in advance).
It was very busy and after a short wait we were brought to our table.
We were seated down the back of the restaurant (I say that, because it felt and looked like an overflow area). In general the restaurant looked in need of refurbishment, with some of the chairs and tables looking well worn and from another era.
The table service was paced about right for us and all of the staff were pleasant and cheerful. We felt no pressure to leave after we had finished eating our meal.
We ordered Surf & Turf, Rib Eye Steak, a Burger and a baked Cod, for our main course and while the food was good, it was not exceptional. The "on the side sauces" were poor quality, bland and not very tasty. However the pecan pie with chocolate ice cream was delicious and I'd recommend it to anyone with a sweet tooth who likes pecan nuts.
Overall it was a bit disappointing based on the reviews and our previous visit, (we had a better table on our previous visit) but it didn't spoil our evening out. We will return again when the restaurant is refurbished.
Again, I have to congratulate this restaurant at being able to handle a very busy night. Supervision is excellent and people don't have to wait for ages, without somebody coming back to reassure that all is in hand. This is super important.
Needless to say the food is fabulous.
Nice dining experience and good value for money. However, my partner and I both ordered a chicken dish not realising the scale of it. It was a 1/2 Chicken - too large and impossible to finish. The plates were daunting to eat and put us off desert. No one can eat that much! A quarter/half of what was served should have been plated. There was a lot of waste on our plates yet we still left feeling heavy and bloated. Needs editing.
The staff were excellent our waiter very friendly and helpful and indeed the whole reservation experience could not be faulted> I changed the number of guest twice and each time we were accommodated without issue. They also reserved a private area in the Rustic bar across the street for after dinner drinks. Overall excellent experience - I will return
I had a table booked for 4 people at 7.30 and we got our starters at 8.40. Myself and my wife ordered the half chicken which was adequate but nothing more. I had dined here before and the food was excellent so it came as a surprise. We spent €250 for 4 people so would have expected more. Your wine is too expensive for this level of restaurant. A standard Malbec at €37 is too dear. We spent € 70 on wine.
