   A taste of Bulgaria in Surbiton. But not just a taste of Bulgaria, a truly European experience with excellent food from the region. Bulgarian sausages made on site from pork from a farm in East Anglia. Fish collected from Billingsgate market. Traditional breads. Bulgarian wines. At weekends there's live music, maybe not for me, but it's the sort of place you could have a cracking party as well as a romantic meal for two midweek. It doesn't have a natural footfall so seek it out. You won't be disappointed.

   Fantastic food with a relaxed traditional Bulgarian atmosphere. Superb food with excellent attentive waitress. Something a bit different from my normal restaurant but happy we tried it. We would recommend.

   Great food and generous portions as always. The ambiance always makes you forget that you are in Surbiton and actually in a restaurant in Bulgaria. Very attentive service too. My second visit this year and I look forward to returning again.

   Bulgarian House in Surbiton provided three of us with a thoroughly enjoyable lunch, well cooked, presented and served. There was a good variety of dishes on the menu, some Bulgarian, some international. An attractive and spotlessly clean restaurant. The house wine is particularly recommended. A good experience , well worth repeating

    This was our 1st visit to this restaurant. We read the reviews. We were very welcome. We tried the following.-- Bread with cheese,Wolf Mezze, [for 2]Medallions of pork and Medallion of beef .The Bulgarian beers is worth the try. Overall it is worth the visit. Will recommend any one to try .

    Great decor and ambiance. Extensive, varied menu and food was delicious but portions are very large (even for me!), so need to choose with care.

    Great and clean restaurant! The waiter was amazing - very impressed!!!! Food was good - not the best but ok. Only two I didnt like was the tribe soup and just the tribe itself in it and the bread ( as my daughter said pizza not really пърленка ;))however the rest was good. The prices I think are a bit high but then I understand that all the produce is from the Uk so we cannot expect bg prices :) Overall I am happy and will definitely go again :)))))))

    This was a delightful evening. The kitchen is open for all to see and is spotless. The staff were charming and helpful recommending dishes and explaining others. Would definitely recommend it and will go again.

    We have dined at the Bulgarian House twice, and on both occasions the food and service was excellent. The restaurant is generally packed in the evening, so booking is advised. Really fascinating menu, cooked in an open kitchen. I would heartily recommend the salads and garlic bread, and the grilled meats for main courses. We will be going back again and again!
