Carmine's - 44th Street - NYC
Everything was fantastic except the noise level. I could not hear the person across the table who was speaking directly to me!
You want to experience the food and ambience here. The wait staff was great. Harold was very personable. You get very large portions. Two people can eat from one dish and have a lot left. Penne a la vodka, Shrimp scampi was amazing. I only wished they would warm the bread.
The problem with our meal is that we were seated 40 minutes after our reservation time. I spoke with the manager several times and they said there was nothing they could do. They did help get the food out fast - in and out in 45 minutes once seated - But it was not the dinner we had hoped for.
Mashroom salad good but pasta is very simple. To much tomatos on souce. This is my third time and never go again
Fantastic meal. Carmine’s never disappoints!!
Correcto, platos muy abundantes pero no deja de ser un comedero.
Bad service and extreem long waiting time in order to be served.
It was very loud and crowded. We waited 25 minutes to have our reservation honored.
Food was delicious, very crowded - tables very close to each other.
We planned a dinner there with some people who are in from out of town to join us in celebrating our son’s Broadway debut. Food was amazing the service is always good the only problem is is that it’s always very loud in there and it was pretty expensive. No doubt the drinks that some of our guests had made it even more expensive.
Over all was really good.
Great Food Fred Flintstone Size Portions (gigantic) great service
Reservations are a must! Food and service is excellent. Penne alla vodka and cheesecake were delicious.!
Reservation was for 5:30. We were not seated until a little after 6:00. Too long to have to wait with a reservation.
Great dining. Especially over-the-top waiter, excellent food. Worth the wait to get in, even with s reservation. Will come back in a heartbeat when I am in town again. Had the pasta with vodka sauce and loved it. Wine was perfect ambience great. A bit loud but didn’t mind
We had a group of 8 had a platter of chicken Marsala, lasagna & a platter of salad. We all ate generously with plenty left over. Great great food
Wonderful service and outstanding food. The waiter was very attentive and did not rush us through our meal.
Had to wait 30 minutes for a 5 pm reservation which almost made us miss our play. The served us veal instead of chicken parm.
A great place to eat before a theatre matinee. Food is served family style, which works well for large theatre crowds and there were a LOT of customers in the restaurant - testimony to the popularity of the place.
Excelente todo. Solo menciono como negativo el Salón muy ruidoso en horario de salida de teatros
The Carmine salad was excellent!
The check-in process and the friendliness of people handling the check in leaves a lot to be desired
Busy and full of energy. Food is standard, family style Italian, with some great surprises Carmine's salad and deserts stood out. Great for groups!
My first visit to Carmines and I can't wait to go back. Fabulous food, service and got us out in plenty of time to make the theater. Highly recommend
This place is ideal for a group. The food portions are just right. Food is excellent! Servers and waiters are friendly, polite and nice.
If you visit NY, you cant miss dining at Carmine's. Food is heaven. Just watch the size of the servings before you order; they're too large.
For Family style lovers!
Quality very good, line was long despite reservation waited for 30 min..
CARMINE'S Never disappoints! I come from California and can't leave New York without a dinner at Carmine's. My husband is not but I'm gluten free and we love Italian. Carmine's makes both superbly!! The service is great and ambiance is fun!
Good food, almost no vegan options and zero willingness to accommodate. Very large portions, and meat eaters loved the food. Very loud. Service was OK.
Best salad dressing ever on the Carmine’s Salad. Shrimp Parm and Gnocchi ala Vodka more than enough for 4
Carmine’s is a huge tourist restaurant. Very crowded and loud. One order feeds 3-4 people. Some may find that wonderful, but for two people it was way too much food and a terrible waste. Our spaghetti was very dry. I don’t want to go back.
Food was great, our waiter was very helpful and welcoming. I
would def return again!
Been here several times and always great food. The pasta dishes are out of this world. We tried the stuffed artichoke and it was very good; lots of extra of sauce to dip the bread into. The Veggie Lasagna was fantastic. Strawberry lemonade is very refreshing with real strawberries. The cappachino was a bit strong for my taste so I only drank half of it. The place is a bit pricey but for the city & the great food it's worth it.
Great food. Enough food in All of our family style dishes for 5 adults
We had a wonderful experience at Carmine’s yesterday! It’s alway one of our places we go when we come to NYC! Everything was perfect! We had the greatest waiter and the food was great! I always appreciate that they let you know how big the portions are!! Such a wonderful day!
Thank you for taking the time to leave a positive review! Were happy to hear your guests enjoyed your dining experience with us. We always want to make sure we let the guests know of our generous portion sizes in case its their first time. Until next time, Cheers!
The food was excellent as always. The two of us got a single Carmine's salad and a penne bolognese and brought more than half of each home (the portions are huge). Christina was our server and she was superb - friendly, fast and perfect.
Thank you for the positive review! Well be sure to let Christina know about your positive dining experience. Looking forward to seeing you all next time! Cheers!
Waiter to chatty about political issues. He thought he was there to entertain us. Meanwhile he never asked us if we wanted something to drink!
Great restaurant! The portions, even for family style, are enormous.
Had lunch prior to seeing moulin rouge on broadway.
Early Lunch before seeing the play - Aint Too Proud to Beg. Food was excellent, waitor was courteous and pleasant.
