Overcooked prawns in a rubbery pasta didn’t thrill the palate
Love this Italian hidden away in Temple Bar. The food is fresh and amazing taste. Great menu choice and excellent wine list. The service is always excellent. We will be back.
Always a pleasure to dine here!
I was in Dublin for few days on the BH week-end in October. I don’t remember the last time that I had such a terrible experience.
The FOOD was terrible, we took a dish with guacamole sauce and there wasn’t any guacamole sauce the waiter didn’t even apologize. The SERVICE was terrible as well... the east European lady was really funny and we had a pleasant conversation but for all the rest was a complete NO experience.
Both Pasta Main courses were nice, Carbonara and a salmon dish however the starters left a lot to be desired. One was calamari, which wasn't tender and was served over-cooked and the prawn starter was quite tasteless, served with a central mound of rice (?) and peppers scattered around it.
The waiting staff were very polite and attentive, however, we won't be returning for the food.
Lighting in the main dinning room reminds you of a dinner
Absolutely, one of the best retaurant we visited in Dublin. The hostess, Monica, is terrific. She really made the dinner special. The food was fabulous! Great place
We were seated in the lower area (cavern), the food was outstanding! Service was great! They offer a vegan menu as well. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
Great service.. Looked after our big group very well.. Food was A1... Thanks a million..
We were a big group of over twenty. I was a bit worried because it was cultural day and every restaurant was full of ppl. Moreover i reserved from Korea just by online. However, we enjoyed best italian menu without any unexpected events. Food was wonderful, atmosphere was very warm and noise level was much less than surrounding restaurant near the Temple bar. We had a semiclosed space in 2nd floor. Monica, the main manager, was very friendly, helpful and professional in every aspect. I was really impressed and definitely recommend this restaurant, especially you are organizing a large group.
Lovely food and lovely staff! We were a party of 14 and the food all came out together and in a good time. I really couldn't fault it!
We had a lovely anniversary meal here. Service was great and staff all v friendly. Great selection of starters and main courses and also good value. We ordered a dessert to share, found desserts to be a bit over-priced compared to other places we have been. 10euro for a few scoops of ice-cream?
Overall we had a lovely meal and would recommend.
Wonderful experience, food and wine were all excellent!!
Great time while visiting Dublin. Wait staff were very friendly and portions were BIG!
Very cool set up. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic also! I would definitely recommend and return!
Was there on Friday 16th for a birthday meal with family. Greeted with such enthusiasm. The service was spot on and the staff were so very friendly.
Will definitely be making this a regular venue when we visit the city.
Me and my friends had a horrible dinner. First, the starter menu wasn’t clear about the plates and we order three to share but it came as main, with rice etc, totally wrong. My calamari was more like salad which has many onions on it and I hate! Then we order the main dish, but then we asked what the other table was having, because that pasta wasn’t in the menu (at least not in the paste part). We switched out main and, even though I asked mine with organic past and without onion, they didn’t respect. My came with less food than my friends. The wine was very expensive and poor quality. We will never come back to this place. And the service was horrible, they took too much time to take our orders.
I went with my 81 yr old mother who is is in fine fettle but does need a walking cane. The waiter did not greet us in a friendly manner and directed my mother down a steep flight of stairs to the secondary sitting area despite her apparent apprehension. The food was simple but fresh and tasty. Portions were a little large but reasonably priced. The cavern is noisy when everyone is talking but there was a pleasant atmosphere. It could be really good if there was a little more charm.
Lovely staff, Monika is a marvel. Delicious food, always a wonderful experience.
Monica was awesome. Great energy and food!!! Bruscetta was best ever
Apart from the lovely food, the service was exceptionally good and all done with a smile. Well done!!
Food and service was exceptional! The homemade Tiramisu was excellent! The vegan menu is outstanding as well. It's a bit of a noisy atmosphere but the food makes up for that. We will definitely come again when back in Dublin.
it was an ok italian restaurant but rather more that carried a few things that lingered a little, not all the meat had got the right preparation, and irish coffee cannot be recommended
We really enjoyed our meal at caverna the service was excellent and the food was delicious. The lady at reception was verythema friendly. We will definitely return.
Food was good but what stood out was the female host who is huge asset to that restaurant
It was outstanding. Service and food were top notch and we highly recommend it. Great experience and really good for a date night. Btw, they played classic 80’s music all night. Added bonus!
The main reason we booked the restaurant is because they had such a vast vegan menu. The rest of the menu was also very appetizing for the non vegan members. Food was fresh and very tasty indeed.
The staff were very welcoming and he service was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
Not great at all, not as per advertised pictures and staff not professional or particularly welcoming.
Won’t be returning or recommending.
The presentation of the food was lovely and there was a great variety of food to choose from, no limitations. From the starter to the dessert the food just melted in the mouth and the flavours were lovely. Staff were very courteous.
Loved the lasagna! Sit in the basement where the ambiance of the wine cellar is so nice.
Food and staff were very good, enjoyed it! Only down fall was annoying Americans who over exaggerate everything haha....
Very nice charming place, good selection of wines and friendly staff, very friendly, loved it. Food good and cheap price. A good place to talk and have good meals with good music.
Excellent atmosphere and supreme food. Pasta was delicious and fresh.
Great restaurant with super food and service. Will be back.
Went for dinner while on a weekend trip to the city for my partner’s birthday on the back of reading reviews and was not disappointed.
The restaurant was lovely the food was superb and the service was friendly and really attentive, thoroughly enjoyed our evening and when in town again will be sure to visit.
The staff was amazing and the atmosphere is nice. The pizza though is like frozen pizza, which cannot be acceptable for a restaurant that names itself "Italian" (I'm Italian and I know what I'm talking about). Put 3 stars only for the staff, but I wouldn't go back there for a dinner unfortunately.
Very tasty and fresh pasta sauces and cheese. Friendly service.
Service & meals were Excellent! Amount of food you get for the price was amazing. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice meal away from the pub atmosphere.
