The owner, Stephane Bocket was born in Dunkerque, France. Stephane was the Maitre d'Hotel for 12 years before purchasing Chez Catherine in 2016. His career spans many years at Alain Ducasse's restaurants in NYC and France and before that in a number of other restaurants throughout France.

Been coming for a number of years and always look forward to the evening and will continue to do so. A bit lacking in the service - very relaxing but slower at times - receiving coffee , the check . Realize only two serving and greeting guests and I am also one person. The dessert was very quickly placed (the best ) without any communication . In other words, not the usual way used to . As said, definitely to return and is always one of my favorites but did want to mention the above. Am in the fine dining hospitality business as well and appreciate .

An absolutely perfect choice for our 42nd anniversary dinner. From the moment we stepped inside to the moment we said “bonsoir” we were pampered. The chef is superb, the service white glove without being pretentious, the atmosphere classy and intimate. We both opted for the foie gras starter course, which was worth the up-charge. We tried each one of the two recommended wine pairings, both of which complemented the dish. The monk fish special was exquisite and the pork tenderloin teriyaki was tender and flavorful. Cherries jubilee prepared table side was the perfect ending to what is sure to become a favorite restaurant for future special occasions. Tres bien, Chez Catherine!

Our anniversary lunch was wonderful. Service and food as always superb. A special bonus was seeing Ste chatting amiably with Didier, the previous owner.

The French cuisine was superb! The mussels and cream of mushroom soup were a wonderful beginning to a fine meal! The price fix for lunch had lovely choices. Two of us had the salad e’te and one enjoyed the chicken dish. The desserts - chocolate mousse and crème brûlée truly delightful. Was a fantastic birthday destination to honor our friend! The service & ambience so special!
