We had the Christmas 5 course taster menu. Overall excellent food! Just some very small flavour combinations that didn’t quite work for us- foie gras was a little too sweet for one of us & the creme brulee not sweet enough. Personally didnt quite like duck with sweet potato/butternut squash ( cant remember which it was) even though it had orange throughout. Would’ve preferred a berry with the chickory & liquorice. But provided thought provoking challenges

Can't recommend this place enough, strong in every area

We booked Club Gascon for a romantic anniversary supper, and it was everything we would have wished for. The food was stunning, and the sommelier recommended the perfect wine match. Service was really friendly too, and helped us feel completely at ease. We had a great time.

Amazing! I look my fiancé here for his birthday and he absolutely loved it. Service was excellent the waiters and sommelier were very knowledge and helpful, the food was exquisite, the decor of the place was stunning. I’m lactose intolerant so all suitable alternatives were suggested and tasted amazing! Literally can’t fault it! Thanks so much!

My third time here, and probably my favourite. Highly reliable, high quality, inventive food that sometimes surprises (foie gras + gingerbread paired with sauternes as a starter!) Much nicer setting since their refurbishment has opened up the space. Probably the best value tasting menu in London, you will only get better food and experience by paying 2 to 3 times more at one of the West London establishments.

Less foie gras than expected, but all courses were delicious. Felt slightly rushed. Loved the foie gras and the duck course.

We visited Club Gascon on a recommendation on Saturday evening. We were table of 3, who were there for a special occasion and were put next to a rowdy party table so couldn’t hear ourselves speak. The service was efficient but rushed. The plates were removed from the table while one of our party was still chewing. The food was nice but not outstanding. The waiters introducing the food, did so very quickly and rushed away. There was nothing ‘special’ about the experience, especially for the price. Sadly, I very much doubt we will return, which is a shame as I was really looking forward to it.

Food and service, excellent, could have done without the building noises, but not your fault. My only criticism was the coffee, which I thought was rather poor, thin and tasteless.

Catered for one vegetarian in our party effortlessly

We went for birthday celebrations. Phenomenal restaurant I have to say, the food experience was amazing and we particularly liked the menu composition. Fantastic atmosphere, very attentive staff, complete and reasonably priced wine list. Club Gascon is definitely one of the best restaurants in London.
Should be rated 2 stars I believe.

We have been going to CG for about fifteen years now and it remains our favorite restaurants. Although our budget has gone up and we have been to other high-end places, CG just keeps on impressing. It may not be the flavour of the day to have highly elaborate French cuisine in an over-the-top setting, but it simply works. The food is great, the service impeccable, and even the other diners seem to have morphed a little from expense account-types to genuine foodies. We always look forward to the foie gras dish (although even CG is moving with the times and is offering a veggie dish as alternative) and the novel ways of preparing it. I find the autumn/winter menus the most impressive at CG, I cannot recall ever not being impressed by them.

Phenomenal service. Courses were paced well, wine was expertly paired. Sommelier was practiced and clearly had a heart for her craft. Definitely will stop by again.

The food was delicious, lovely atmosphere and staff very attentive and their recommendations on the food and wine were spot on.

Outstanding experience
We are long standing regular guest at Club Gascon ( almost since it has opened more than 20 years ago). We are always amazed by the creativity of the chef and the charming and professionalism of the service. My wife and I visited again on Saturday and had the most enjoy evening , until a guest seated at a table next to us started to make a fuzz and talked in a very rude way to our waiter... Propably the same man that left the awful review below. This gentleman was simply trying desperately to get some sort of discount by pretending the waiter did not introduce their last course. Being seated right next to them , we cannot let this happened as we heard the waiter explaining it to them . That so called "man" started to shout-out all type of things to the waiter and to us!! Such a disgrace in restaurant of that standing. The manager came to us to explain that we should enjoy the rest of the evening ignoring that man and went straight to that guest asking him to calm down and speak in an appropriate way. I must say that we were impressed by the way the manager handled the situation with calm and professionalism. When this guest left and attend to interrupt again our dinner, the manager stepped in to avoid further argument and escort that man out of the restaurant. We and the other guests finally managed to enjoy the end of our meal.
As a final class act from the service, we were offered a digestive for this man disruption. This is to our opinion a very well managed venue and we will certainly return again and again.

Everything was good but at the end there was a guy just put the dish on the table. He didn’t try to introduce more about the meal. It’s very rude. I don’t why. I asked him to come back and talked to him. Later his manager came to apology. I guess that’s why one of the reasons this is the restaurant only earned one MICHELIN star.


The manager contacted me by public and private email. I just want to make everything clear so I posted my answer here.
(I didn’t have any bad behavior to anyone. The client couldn’t judge anyone. I just stand for my right. How can she said very loudly to my table if she didn’t know anything? Also you did come for apology. Now you said you didn’t. This is how you managed your restaurant. Good job!)

It was very simple thing that the waiter DIDN’T introduce the final dish. I was very polite to raise my question. But the man just wrote the comment was with a female. She said very rude thing to us. They actually didn’t really know anything well but they judge my table. I definitely need to stand for my right.

At the end, I was very polite to ask a check and before leaving I just said enjoy your dinner to that table. That’s it. They can say anything not so truth like that - even the store manager too. It’s unbelievable.

Just be careful to eat at this kind of restaurant. You can’t even raise a question and this is how they deal with it. I defiantly will not go back. Really terrible experience.

We had a wonderful evening. The service was excellent and the Somellier very knowledgeable. The food and wine were outstanding. The restaurant was quiet unlike so many which play music far too loud. An excellent experience all round.

Anniversary

The tasting menu and accompanying wines were described by staff with enthusiasm. The plates were beautifully arranged - they looked and tasted like summer!

Absolutely incredible dinner! A total treat. Fabulous service and sommelier with great stories about all the wines. I be already booked our next visit. Thank you so much for looking after us.

The 5 course tasting menu was as brilliant as ever. Good wine pairings. Interesting combinations, superbly explained by the sommelier. If in doubt, choose the fois gras option. This restaurant always does it well. All our dishes were delicious, and the mignardises were gorgeous surprises. For a restaurant that takes its food so seriously, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, not pretentious.

OK but expensive; could be better, could be worse.

Very friendly staff with a great vibe. Amazing food and - while in the upper range - good value for money. In the beginning, I felt we got interrupted mid-conversation a few times by waiters presenting some nibbles - when you sit down and try to have a conversation and every 2 minutes someone approaches the table and starts talking that can be slightly disruptive. Apart from that it was a great experience and I would come again. Everyone was really friendly and helpful.

Excellent food and service. The Foie Gras is just delicious

It's the second time that we dine in this restaurant and we enjoyed the second time as much as the first one! The first time we thought that the vegetarian dishes were particularly original and noteworthy so this time we went indeed for the vegetarian menu. It was excellent, although we missed the spaghetti potatoes we had last time (please bring them back! ;) We had the initial amuse bouche and other small free dishes that make even more pleasant to be there. A small note is that the waiter swapped our dishes but otherwise the service was impeccable. The chef even accommodated a change of dishes we requested.

Never cheap but good for what it is. Every course was great. Good to see the duck egg back in its nest with black truffle. Veggie tasting menu is outstanding whilst the other menu had an Iberico main dish that was apparently close to perfection. Service impeccable. I still (really) don’t like the mini sinks beneath a shelf in loos that are a nightmare to use but for this good food and service you can forgive that.

Club Gascon has an amazing French menu! We made a last minute booking and were very pleased with our seating allocation. Some of the tables towards the back feel a little cramped, but the food and drinks should make up for this ;-)

It deserves all its rating and stars. Supurb from the arrival until the end. Food present without repute. Service to the highest level. The whole theatre of the food delivery and presentation was worlds best.
