Best American Restaurants in South Kansas City

From making the reservation to an email received the day after our meal, Stock Hill delivered an unforgettable perfect birthday dinner. The meal that we had was genuinely one of the best, if not the best dinner of our lives! Stock Hill had absolutely stellar customer service from start to finish, from booking, to our amazing server James, to the experience overall. We started off with the Wagyu meatballs (which melted in your mouth) and the rolls for our appetizers, during which the chef brought out a complimentary dish of Japanese A5 Wagyu since we came all the way down there for my son’s birthday (the fact that they would even consider that gesture still blows our minds)! From the perfect cook of the Wagyu, to the tenderness of the meat, to the amazing tomato-creamesque sauce that went with it, it was truly a special experience. Our entrees consisted of Halibut and a salad, then a 14oz American Wagyu ribeye with chimichurri sauce and large scallops. By fact the best scallops of our lives, complimented by an equally decadent steak and halibut dishes.🤤 For dessert, they surprised us and brought out “some monkey business”, which was a banana and currant bread pudding, complimented by fried white chocolate, sea salt caramel ice cream, and vanilla créme anglais. Absolutely incredible! If you ever find yourself in Kansas City and want one of the best fine dining experiences of your life and are willing to save and splurge a little, or maybe want to treat a special someone, Stock Hill is the place to go. I would unequivocally give them 5/5 stars in all measurable categories, and would go back in a heartbeat.
