Best Breakfast Restaurants in South Amboy

Always a pleasant experience coming here. Great food and great service 

I managed to book the s’mores experience for a party of 12 by contacting STUDIO. The staff was extremely accommodating. They brought us water on arrival and let us chose which fire pit we wanted, even leaving the option of both open for when the full party arrived. We had some rain, so the team came out and rearranged the umbrellas for us. With a little rearranging, there was ample seating for all. We received about 4 trays of s’mores and were offered some each time the trays emptied. The host invited us in when the food we ordered arrived, which gave us a helpful opportunity to dry off some and warm up. The long and narrow seating arrangements inside were perfect for a large party. I’d recommend the cheesesteak egg rolls and the charcuterie board. The flat breads were also delicious and perfect for sharing! I’m so thankful to the staff who kept providing us with clean water glasses and napkins. They even extended my reservation and did not kick us out. The gratuity was not automatically included, which was smart as I was able to tip them above 20% for all of their efforts. They even surprised me with a cheesecake and forks for all to share! What a fun experience for my birthday! I hope they consider expanding their offerings. I can see roasting chestnuts in December and some Japanese inspired sweet potato bites in November. Thanks to the staff at STUDIO for making my day!

Had the restaurant week menu: picked calamari, eggplant Parmesan on top of spaghetti, and tiramisu, also ordered the whole branzino with garlic sautéed spinach , they added a small complimentary focaccia bread slice each. All was delicious!

Food was great. Ambiance and sea view was pleasant. Omelette was perfectly made. Flank steak very tasty. Asparagus, potato great. Caesar salad, crab and shrimp were a treat. Service was capable and friendly. Deserts were fresh and top notch. Only so so, could stand improving...Mac and cheese, chicken piccata, home fries, donuts. Overall a very pleasant, tasty experience. 24 percent automatic gratuity is somewhat excessive.
