The food is very different, abundant, and excellent. I had the french toast (which I only ate half.) Friends had strawberry pancakes, and grits with shrimp. we also shared a pear with smoked ricotta cheese appetizer. All excellent. Definitely recommend making reservations and sharing plates - one serving is way too much for one person,

Wow! We were blown away. The drinks, the food, the service, the decor, the creativity. Everything was incredible. This husband and wife team are truly the definition of hospitality. We can’t wait to go back to try the rest of the menu.

An unexpected gem. We stopped in for a glass of wine on our way to another engagement and talked to the bar tender long enough to get a good overview. Food was very good, nice portion sizes (we split a couple of items). Nicely paced service.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! My fiancé and I went to ANZU last night to celebrate our anniversary, and our server, Deepak, truly made the entire experience unforgettable! The service here is next-level. We were greeted at our table with an incredibly thoughtful, hand-written card wishing us a happy anniversary—a beautiful touch that went way beyond the standard "Happy Anniversary" template. After seating us, Deepak offered celebratory champagne. I said my fiancé would absolutely have some, but mentioned I didn't drink. He proactively returned with a delicious NA option. It’s these thoughtful touches that made the night feel special. We had hoped to try the 13-course Omakase we saw on social media, but learned it’s only offered Thursday–Saturday. It was SF Restaurant Week, so the six course Petite Omakase was a welcomed consolation alongside some extra appetizers. To be fully honest, as they are newly opened, the food was a bit of a mixed bag. The highlights were spectacular: the amuse-bouche was incredibly flavorful, and the hamachi crudo with yuzu and leche de tigre was an absolute standout. However, we also ordered the milkbread, which we wished had been served warm and fluffy. Additionally, a couple of the courses (like lobster, which had a sauce texture resembling crab salad) tasted a bit dry/pre-prepared. Mondays can be tough for any kitchen, and while the food felt a bit closer to standard hotel fare, the potential is absolutely there. Bonus point of constructive feedback for management: please hold guests, like the gentleman next to us, to a "no Reels without headphones" policy... straight to jail for that type of behavior, haha 😅 We finished with solid spicy salmon and volcano rolls, and a great yuzu crème brûlée. Deepak even surprised us with a complimentary anniversary tiramisu! We want this new gem to succeed so badly—the hospitality is already world-class, and with a few minor tweaks to the kitchen, ANZU is going to be unstoppable. We'll definitely be back!

Super last minute dinner date with my boyfriend. We were seated quickly. I wish I had the name of the server! He was very friendly. Food portions were huge. Everything we had was tasty! We were too full for dessert. Next time we will try to leave room for some of their desserts.
