Best Contemporary American Restaurants in Newcastle

Both the food and the service were excellent. I sat at the bar and made quick friends with the people sitting next to me, as well as the bartender. I particularly enjoyed the hamachi crudo and the tortilla soup.

The food was fricking deLISH. Everything was perfect. Seriously. Service was warm, helpful, friendly. Perfect spot for our 36th anniversary. Loved the vibe.

We had a lovely breakfast. I had the crab toast and my guest had the Crab Benedict. Both were delicious.

The quality and taste of all food from the salad course, main course to dessert was outstanding. The flavor profiles of the braised short rib and truffle mashed potatoes was wonderful. The only reason for not giving 5 stars in this category was due to the small portion size. Perhaps this was due to it being a special priced menu for Seattle Restaurant Week, but when I make braised short ribs, a single short rib (boneless) would be around 4 ounces vs. the closer to 2 ounces that came to the table. The overall quality was so good though that my date and I were very satisfied and the amazing espresso crème brûlée filled the void.
