Best Contemporary American Restaurants in San Juan Islands

Outstanding food and service once again. We always make a dinner reservation at Houlme whenever on Orcas Island, and the experience never disappoints. The sauces and small dishes are exceptional, the pizza is among my favorites anywhere. Thank you to Jay and the team for another wonderful experience- we'll be back next year!

The food was very good and the service was very good. I have allergies and my server was very accommodating. The only negative was we were never served/offered bread, while tables around us were. I have no idea why

Another great dinner and our server was outstanding. Shared the gem lettuce, chicken nuggets with caviar, pasta with crab and the chocolate hazelnut tart for dessert. Also added the focaccia bread, everything was delicious.

Great burger & fries, excellent service. My martini was fantastic too. I love Captain Whidbey for the ambiance and vibe as much as anything. Food varies from good to great, but the prices are steep. The veggies with my halibut all tasted the same - I could tell they were leeks and fennel by looking at them, not by taste. But the halibut and the sauce were delicious. Next time I'm getting the mussels.

This was our first time here. The food we got was delish! We got the nachos/ wings/ bao tacos (all appetizers). The waitress was welcoming and service was great even when it got busier and still only one waitress. The Ube Bee drink was beautiful and yummy! Picture worthy! We would definitely eat there again.
