I had the good fortune of dining here for the first time with close family who didn't mind sharing bites of their food. Everything was outstanding, especially the Steak Frites, with special hurrahs reserved for those frites. The steak was tender and cooked perfectly, and the gorgeous sauce that was served with it deserves its own little crown of glory. The little pasta puffs stuffed with duck and floating in a silky sage sauce sent my glucose monitor into spasms, but it was well worth it. I'd eat it again right this minute. The butternut squash soup--also delicious, and served with crispy-yet-soft grilled bread. The romaine in the Caesar salad had perfect chill and crunch, like it had been brought in fresh that very day and placed gently on its on own reserved shelf in the fridge. The grated cheese was so light it seemed to be floating on top of the salad, and the dressing had just the right tang. It served as a very pleasant palate segue between entrees. Have it with the Steak Frites and you won't regret it. One more thing: THE WINE! The collection is expertly curated and you really can't go wrong. One other thing: if you are old school about your cocktails, the dirty-but-not-too-dirty gin martini will realign your outlook to the plus side life.
