An enjoyable evening before a game at the Capital One Arena. As usual the food was excellent. This was the first time I ordered the Secreto Iberico de bellota. If I understood it correctly this pork outside skirt steak drop Spanish acorn fed pigs. Pricey but worth it.

One of the best meals of my life. I went in somewhat skeptical as I was worried the expertise might be fussy and pretentious, but it was not. The staff was incredibly professional and knowledgeable. The kitchen staff was performative without being showy. But most important the combinations of flavors were some of the most interesting I have ever experienced, and I dine out a LOT. The presentations were also incredibly beautiful and surprising in so many ways. The experience is eye wateringly expensive, but honestly worth every penny. What is life for anyway but wonderful experiences? It didn’t cost any more than a couple NBA or major concert tickets these days, so why not spend a similar amount here? If you are in DC, I cannot recommend this place enough.
