My wife and I liked our food very much. My well done steak frites was the best I have ever had. We ordered tea and a main meal. The tea came quickly but the meal took 50 minutes.

Fergus spent the majority of his life as a passionate home chef, until his late 20's when stepped into a professional kitchen for the first time. He quickly got hooked on the buzz of a busy service, but also to need to explore and experiment far more then what is practical in a typical restaurant. Toward the end of 2019 he decided do induce his own baptism of fire, by launching a supper club serving a taster menu of experimental dishes in his home town. Alkemio is actually the Esperanto spelling for alchemy, Esperanto was a language that was constructed out of the world's languages and had no real home. Fergus aims to take inspiration from cuisine across the world, combining ingredients, flavour profiles and formats in ways you have not seen before, all the while elevating each dish with technique and presentation to make it unforgettable!

Impeccable service. Delightful Beatrix Potter themed afternoon tea. Delicious amuse-bouche and open sandwiches were served in addition to traditional finger sandwiches, scones and desserts. Excellent selection of teas and jams. Champagne and piano live music were lovely, too. Victoria sponge cake offered after as well. 10 out of 10 for us.

Had a reservation with their restaurant on 06/07/26 for 7pm but I arrived around 7:30 pm and they still welcomed me really well. I went straight to the restaurant and the setting was elegant and cosy. I wish I got the servers’ names, one gentleman and two ladies and they were all excellent. The man suggested great food such as their scallop appetiser and mashed potato as a side for my steak and all the food were delicious and well served. The lady servers were both pleasant and one even helped position my chair in a way I could conveniently watch football and offered to increase the volume of the telly which was really considerate. When I was about to pay, the man said the food was on the house, which was a great surprise and really appreciated. I asked if this was a perk for new members and the man said “no” which made it feel even more special. On top of that, I won in a slot machine that generously gave winning lines, guess it was my lucky night :). Superb experience overall and I would surely come back.
