Everything was perfect! Our table was ready, private. Food was excellent as was the service. They had a guitarist, really good. He sang Pink Pony Club with an Irish accent, too funny. Reasonable value

We had an absolutely stellar meal and experience at The Universal. It was cozy, top notch service, wine selection, off the beaten bath, and the food was incredible. It made our night!

Food was fantastic! However, we were charged €1.50 for a jug of mi-wadi and an additional 0.80c for glass of wi-wadi. Only 1 pint of mi-wadi was ordered and consumed. A small thing but in the grand scheme of things unnecessary.

Overall we had a really lovely evening. The menu was far more varied than we expected. There was an issue with a missing drink but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere was calm and very relaxed plus the staff were polite and attentive. We would highly recommend the Paris Brest dessert which was exceptional and absolutely delicious!!!
