The menu is intentionally simple - they only have one main dish which is the wagyu hamburg steak. I don't want to compare TwinFlame from the origina Hikiniku from Tokyo because they each have their own take and charm but still worth the try. We loved the hamburg steak, it was juicy. For some it may be underwhelming but for our family of 3 - it was just right and perfect for our liking. The sauces were just fine. The stuff that we loved were: Ponzu sauce, poached egg, Yuzu Highball, unlimited rice, the Gim-mari and Gamja jeon (esp the truffle aioli) and of course the perfect ending - the matcha ice cream. Special mention to our server, Liam. The service was excellent!More infoTwinflame$$$$• Japanese Speciality• Oakland•4.7

- MMicheleGoldSan Francisco Bay Area •4 reviews4.0Dined on 11 Oct 2026We enjoyed a lovely evening at Bouy. The service and food were excellent. The reason for the four-star, rather than five-star, ratings was the lack of vegan options on the menu and the inflexibility regarding ordering combinations of offered ingredients other than as specified on the menu. (For example, we wanted to order the abalone without the octopus leg.) They were, however, accommodating in terms of omitting items from dishes and/or serving them on the side. Although a few large tables were loud/rowdy at times, the overall ambiance was very nice.More infoThe Buoy$$$$• Contemporary Korean• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.5
