An Absolute Gem” this place is. Although is is out the way and a good drive to get to. It’s DEFINITELY worth it!!! You don’t get to choose what you have as the 6 course taster menu is the same for everyone. As a foodie, I found this not only intriguing, but excited as I do tend to go for the same types of dishes when I eat out, but needless to say, my partner and I were not disappointed! The food is amazing and the work that goes into these dishes is second to none and definitely worth every penny and more in my opinion. I’ve eaten in michilin star restaurants at various locations across the country and this place is up there with some of the best. Don’t be put off by the lack of curb appeal of this place. It definitely not the Dorchester or Le Manior and it doesn’t pretend to be either. It really is Willy Wonkers golden ticket and the setting only adds to its charm and intimacy, where the food can’t hide and speaks for itself! “STUNNING” A very warm, relaxed place with lovely easy going atmosphere that you feel welcomed and comfortable. I think Ben is a genius in the kitchen and deserves every bit of success. I know we will definitely be back and to learn that the menu changes every 3 weeks, leaves us already looking forward to what other delights Ben has to offer up his sleeve. Yes there us no mobile signal or wireless and although at first I was a bit shocked. The reality is we can all do with less phone time making the company we are in more attentive, so I found it no problem at all. If you need a cab or taxi, I’m certain Sophie will accommodate and get you one and won’t leave you stranded 🤣 The service is really down to earth, warm, welcoming, really inviting and friendly Keep up the great work Ben, Sophie and we look forward to seeing you again real soon. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was lovely too. It took a while for the main meals to come out but we were both in a rush and there was a large table that had ordered just before us. There was a singer, who was really good. Not too loud so you cited still have a conversation. Was quite expensive but we did have quite a lot of wine! Would recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our mid-week brunch with a pint and the value for money was very good.
