Best Persian Restaurants in Upper Lake

I am writing this because this is now my 5th time dining here and every single time my experience gets better. I want to thank Arya crew and team for their amazing service and experience. The food only continues to get better. They made some changes to the menu recently which are are amazing to an already amazing menu. Thank you to our server who was amazing. I will be back in a few weeks. 10/10 every single time

Tried the filet mignon marinated in a pomegranate sauce, delicious. Always like to get their rice with cherries and shaved nuts, wonderful addition to any meal.

I went to Komaaj last night for a birthday dinner. Just 3 of us. The food was great. Really beautiful dishes with outstanding flavors. The space is cozy with rugs and homewares. We ordered the 4-person Mazze platter, which was more than we needed for 3, but it was a taste of most of the dips. It was beautiful and tasty. We shared a bottle of wine (good menu) and 2 entrees (the chicken dish and the beef dish). Both were really delicious, tender, and flavorful. Even though the 2 entrees were not very large, we had leftovers to take home because the mazze filled us up. The only downside was a bit of confusion with the service. The gentleman taking care of us may be the owner? Though he was nice and welcoming, he wasn't very clear, and he didn't do a great job explaining the menu. We also had some confusion over whether they had beef or lamb, as some menus said beef and others lamb. I think they had both...? Though the gentleman didn't say much, he was nice. Maybe he's just shy or softspoken. I would definitely come back. I just wish the service matched the "welcome to our home" decor.
