During our recent visit to Boston, we stayed in the Back Bay. We felt like a pub dinner and went to Sweeney’s. We were seated in a booth in the bar. I ordered clam chowder, hardly pub-fare, but just what I needed. It was by far the best clam chowder I’ve ever had. It had whole duxbury clams in the shell. It was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the curry rice bowl which he enjoyed immensely. Not traditional Irish pub food for either of us, but really good choices. Service was prompt and friendly. The iced tea was fresh brewed and also above average. Highly recommend Sweeney’s on Boylston.

Very spicy menu. Lots of spicy items but over all very good. Our server was great. It is very loud but we enjoyed our meal and would go there again. Pumpkin Martini was delish and the raspberry mint margarita was also great!

Just moved to the neighborhood recently and have been wanting to visit Cunard Tavern since the first time I walked by. Learned about its closing and managed to stop in on its last weekend - I’m so sad that will be the only time I get to experience this place! The food was wonderful, drink menu was very exciting, and the friendliness and overall vibe was just perfect to have as a go-to neighborhood spot. If my one experience was any indication of what Cunard was usually like, then Eastie is definitely losing a gem.

Was there for Thursday night football. Great place to watch the game. It was very busy so service was a little slower than usual but that's to be expected. Food was very good. I wish the game sound was a little louder but overall it was a very good experience. I'd definitely go back for a game.
