A Flawless Anniversary Celebration at a Wisconsin Legend!
My husband and I recently celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary at the Five O'Clock Steak House, and as my husband put it, we wouldn’t change a single thing about this special meal out. From the moment we arrived, the service was truly superb—starting with valet parking and a warm greeting at the door, right down to the bartender who expertly crafted our drinks.
Speaking of the drinks, the handcrafted Old Fashioneds made right in front of us were outstanding. That classic tradition set the tone for the evening, which continued with a traditional Wisconsin supper club relish tray that did not disappoint.
Every course that followed exceeded expectations. Our server, Faye, was exceptionally knowledgeable, expertly guiding us through the menu and specials, offering professional care throughout the evening, and ensuring our special dietary needs were seamlessly met by the kitchen.
We both ordered our steaks medium rare, and they were delivered piping hot from the broiler and cooked to absolute perfection. My 8-ounce filet mignon was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with flavor, living up completely to its reputation as "the best steakhouse in Milwaukee."
One standout surprise was the house salad that accompanies the meal—the freshness was superior to any salad I have had anywhere else! The a la carte side dishes are served in generous, shareable portions. Our steaming hot baked potatoes had ideal flavor and texture, and the fresh asparagus was cooked just right.
Even though I rarely order dessert, we were both too tempted to resist. I tried the Crème Brûlée, and it was as good as any I have ever had, anytime, anywhere.
We left the Five O'Clock Steak House just as much in love with it as we were with each other on our anniversary. We cannot wait to return!
