Overall great spot with very good food, wine selection and attention to detail. The place is very intimate and makes you feel like you're dining at a classic NYC brownstone, the service was very personable with every staff member being very nice and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the food, especially the grilled wagyu which was our favorite dish, but found some inconsistencies in the nigiri pieces. Some cuts of fish were fresher than others, and in some cases, the amount of wasabi was overpowering. However, would definitely come back. I enjoyed a glass of white wine which was delicious and complemented the meal perfectly.

Had a great dinner once again. MC has become a tradition for me for dates as well as friends and family. The ceviche is fantastic and the wine list rules.

We went for dinner on a Thursday and it was great! Some of my friends arrived early and were seated immediately! The food was delicious and not too expensive given the location. Great cocktails but also non-alcoholic beverages too. It was on the louder side but still easy to hear your friends. I’ll definitely be going back!

Rei is my great discovery. “Kaiseki“ but casual and you can talk to the chef while he is cooking. Rare in NYC! They use the best quality material to produce the best plates. I can go back again and again!!
