Best Wineries in Gibsons

Our waiter Stephano was very attentive and amiable. The food was incredible. We had the bruschetta, olives, fritters and pasta mains. We are here on vacation and will be recommending the restaurant to friends and family who travel to Vancouver. Thank you.

Twice I've enjoyed a dinner at Forager's. The food each time has been memorable. Beautiful to look at, and a combination of flavours and textures. We shared tastes between friends, but each felt happy with what we'd ordered. My cocktail reminded me of being a kid...a Creamsicle in a tall highball glass, refreshingly cool and delicious for a hot August night. The scallops were cooked to perfection, tender without being chewy. The mains were just right: halibut and greens, a very flavourful crab with homemade pasta dish, and the best duck ever. Everything was colourful, and full of flavour. Even the bread was memorable, I would have been happy just to have that on its own. The desserts were very good, but mine was the best - a chocolate profiterole, topped with tiny alyssum blossoms in a tiny folded florentine, put together to look like a delightful birthday present. We were still talking about the meal a day later. Brilliant.

The food was great. The prices for wine were not understandable: the price of an 9oz was half the price of a bottle! We were early (5pm) and it was too cool - had to move out of the draft directly above me. Our waitress was very polite and helpful - we were very quickly served.

This restaurant is quite simply outstanding! Very imaginative and delicious food. Excellent service and wonderful ambience.

Recommended by a friend, finally managed to make it in and glad we did, a perpetually busy place with awesome fresh food and great selection of wines by the glass :) put it on the list if visiting
