    The dining experience at Cullen’s at the Cottage was amazing. The salad combined edible flowers, herbs, and a touch of seaweed in a brilliant way. I had a self defined dish of prawns with homemade pasta in a garlic cream sauce with touches of sea plants that was simply inspired. It is very rare that we fine such an innovative, thought chef, but we found her here. Our highest recommendation. Perfection, truly.

    The most incredible setting for a family birthday celebration. The food was exquisite and delicious and the service - as always - was too class. The sun shone, which was a real bonus. A beautiful dining experience. Thank you especially to Shania for your attention to detail and warm Irish welcome.

    Beautiful and nostalgic- clean and sharp - decor interesting and central themes for this most memorable dinner experience. Menu was varied and well supplied with meat, fish and vegetables. Wine & cocktails menu easy to select the favourite plus non alcoholic selection also for the drivers.

    It was nice to have the opportunity of having lunch in Cullens as we were unable to get into the Castle for afternoon tea. The fish was beautiful and after telling the waiter my wifes chips were cold he brought out 2 new portions. It would be on the expensive side but I suppose it's the location and experience we went for.

    The decor was a wonderful match to the name and the setting of “The Cottage”. The food being tasty as well as the drinks, couldn’t be happier with the service. Very accommodating with lovely live music.

    My husband and I enjoyed dinner in Cullens last night. I had the lobster and prawn risotto which was packed through with seafood and was thoroughly delicious, easily the best risotto I have had. My husband had the surf and turf which he said was cooked perfectly and delicious too. It’s expensive but worth it for the fabulous food. The staff were warm, friendly and very attentive but not in your face either and it was clear to see that they were very well trained. We really enjoyed our meal and look forward to a return visit in the future.

    The tomato and red pepper soup was superb! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the catch of the day (seabass), and my peri-peri rotisserie chicken was extra moist with a delightfully crisp skin. The staff was amazing. Patrick was charming and Agnes most gracious and professional. We loved our evening at the cottage.

    Absolutely beautiful we were there for a wedding anniversary meal and it was amazing. They even gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. The waitress was from Budapest and she was very good at looking after us

    Overall a decent experience with good food and polite and attentive service. The staff were lovely and attentive through the evening and even made up an off-menu non-alcohol drink for one of us who was driving. The food came out in good time and tasted nice as expected and we had a drink each, starters, mains and a desert. It was all cooked well and nicely seasoned. The cottage is situated on the grounds of the beautiful Ashford Castle and is tastefully decorated inside with a calm atmosphere. If you were staying in the castle or making an "experience" of it by touring the grounds, playing a round of golf or attending an event then it's definitely an experience worth having. If however you're just going for dinner and not turning it into an Ashford Castle experience then it's far too expensive for what it is and you'll find comparable elsewhere at a more reasonable price point.

    Amazing service, attention to detail, amazing food and cannot compliment the staff highly enough. We had the steak (perfectly cooked) and the lobster and prawn risotto for main. Also had a couple of drinks, the house cocktail was lovely and the desert to finish was perfect. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Again, the staff were amazing, very on the ball.

    Je suis française et ce n'est pas de la "soupe française" qui a été servi à mon mari. Le vin est excessivement cher alors que c'est du bas de gamme en France, seule l'entrée était bonne pour moi. La soupe de mon mari n'avait pas le goût de la rouille et mes pétoncles n'étaient vraiment pas à mon goût. Les croquettes au brocolis ou je ne sais quoi n'étaient vraiment pas bonnes. Le prix est très élevé, pas un sourire, ambiance froide, on aurait mieux fait de retourner dans un pub. On ne reviendra pas en tout cas. Le lieu est beau mais la nourriture ne vaut pas 90€ pour 2.
