Really enjoyed brunch here, lovely place amazing food and service was great once inside but had a table booked and still had to wait 10 minutes outside meanwhile people who hadn’t booked and in a queue all got seated before our table which wasn’t a massive issue for us but probably not much value in booking. Would absolutely recommend and had a brilliant time.

Bastible is located just a short stroll from the landmark St Patricks Cathedral in the vibrant postcode of Dublin 8.
The restaurant overlooks the junction of Clanbrassil Street and South Circular Road in what was once the old Jewish quarter of Portobello.

Chef Killian Walsh leads the kitchen team and creates seasonal tasting menus using his varied and considerable industry experience. Bastible was awarded a coveted Michelin Star in 2022 and proudly retains it today.

Bastible's atmosphere is relaxed and inclusive. There is no required dress code and we pride ourselves on friendly and knowledgable service.

The wait between courses was too long comparing to other Michelin star restaurants. It was more than 3 hours in total, so in the end they were like rushing to finish it, so this could be balanced in a better way.

The bruschetta with the mushrooms was a fantastic starter, so tasty. I highly recommend the steak as a main course, it was cooked to perfection and plenty on the plate! We had a lovely bottle of rioja, which was at 29 euro a bottle, very good value. Overall we had a lovely meal and great chats with the owner. Lovely staff too. We go to this restaurant for lunch, but this was our first time for an evening meal - well worth a visit!

Craft is an award-winning neighbourhood restaurant in Harold’s Cross, owned and run by renowned chef, Philip Yeung, a short distance from the surrounding villages of Rathgar, Rathmines and Ranelagh.

Philip became Head Chef at Town Bar and Grill in 2010, working under Temple Garner, and was also instrumental in the re-opening of Bang Restaurant in 2010, again as Head Chef.

Philip opened Craft in February 2016 and very quickly gained recognition for his modern Irish cuisine, winning the ‘Best Newcomer’ award for Dublin at the RAI awards in May 2016, Michelin Bib Gourmand 2017, ‘Best Emerging Irish Cuisine’ in all of Ireland at the RAI awards in 2018 and Michelin Bib gourmand again in 2018 and 2019.
