Really enjoy the cooking, mains were so moorish. My lamb was cooked exactly as I like and my husband really loved the pork. Our sides were great, carrots and potatoes. The starters were not too bad however, the burrata was replaced with whipped goats cheese, the prawn dish was ok. We wanted the duck spring rolls unfortunately all gone. The lemon possett was so good, the wine we picked out was the pinot Grigio. I didn’t like it as much as my husband it was a little flat on fruit notes. Good vibe at restaurant and it was busy. Second time visiting.

Roundwood
About the restaurant
Opened under new ownership in December 2023, we are located adjacent to our existing Roundwood Stores bakery and artisan food store. Come and enjoy good food, wine, craft beer, and log fires in the beautifully restored 1820’s Coach House.
The pub is open midday until late, Thursday to Sunday, for walk-ins and reservations.
The menu is slightly more casual (as are some of the tables) but the room is cozy and the experience the same.
The restaurant is open midday for lunch and 5pm for dinner, walk-ins or reservations available.

We look forward to welcoming you.

I have eaten here twice before and had an excellent meal. I don't give bad reviews and this isn't intended to be bad. My burger for €34, despite asking for it to be very well done was rare and luke warm. My husband's cod €32 was also undercooked and had to go back. The two prawn cocktails €19 each were excellent. There was apologies for both from the delightful, hard working staff and we both received great meals when they came back (the burger was the best I have had). This is not a cheap restaurant but since it was redone, it's a lovely room, with a good choice of food and I would eat here again.

We had booked the table prior to arriving after walking Glendalough. When we arrived the Que was out the door - but it moved quickly and the staff got us our table very quickly! They were friendly, efficient and the food was delicious! It was my first time here & I will definitely be coming back. The seafood chowder is one of the nicest I’ve had. 10/10

We really enjoyed our evening in The Sika restaurant for my birthday. Service great, lovely relaxing ambience. However, I was still hungry after a few canapés then a starter of 2 very small scallops in a nice sauce and our main course was accompanied by one small bucket of cauliflower florets and one small bucket of new potatoes which we had to share. I expected more for the high price. However the desserts were delicious, especially the salted caramel ice cream on the side, even though it was only a heaped tablespoon. If you're expecting a slap up feed then this isn't the place for you. It is fine dining healthy, small and well flavoured food portions in the sumptuous surroundings of Powerscourt.
