Great place for a drink and music after work or after a matinee. Happy hour at the bar is busy. Then go next door to the restaurant for a pleasant meal.. Good food and pleasant staff.

Ok. I have become one of those people who posts every meal they have. But this one was fabulous. We had the Prix Fixe menu. I selected their mixed salad which had a slice of goat cheese on top. Next was perfectly cooked salmon on a bed of spinach. As for dessert, well I ate it before I took a picture of it. Two triangles of chocolate brownies with chocolate sauce and Carmel sauce. We walked to the theater district! The meal was as Don’t Tell Momma. If in NY you must make reservations.

We had fun! There are a limited number of tables and we ended up right next to the piano. Great entertainment but a bit too loud for us to talk. Very friendly service...food was okay.

It was a nice place for a pre-theater dinner. It's great to be able to sit in the Piano Bar also because that makes it fun. The food was pretty decent / Okay but i wouldn't call it amazing.. Dishes ordered were the Salmon, and the Chicken Breast. You don't NEED to do the prix-fixe they advertise, especially if you don't want desert. Ordering off the regular menu may be a better deal if you want a less expensive main dish and a small salad. It's a little on the pricey side, especially with drinks, but if your in the neighborhood for a show, and you want to be a bit spendy... This is a fun place to go, just don't expect to get your socks knocked off. Dinner for 4 with 5 drinks set us back about $270 or so including tip.

My party and I had taken in the wonderful STEPHEN MOSHER: THE STORY TELLER show in DTM,s Historic cabaret space and then had a reservation for eight people in the restaurant next-door after the show.

We were seated immediately and Joshua, our server was attentive and on top of everything. The menu could use a few more vegan/vegetarian options but everyone was nicely accommodated and the food was very good.

I totally recommend everyone taking in the fall DON’T TELL MAMA experience by enjoying the piano bar, seeing a cabaret show in one of their performance spaces and then enjoying a nice meal in the restaurant.

Dont tell Mama was recommended by a friend. It was a brilliant night. We ate first in the restaurant and the food was well prepared and presented and was delicious . We asked to go into the Piano Bar afterwards and we had a great time. Super atmosphere and crowd, and the music and singing was top class!

Much better than anticipated. We went there for the singing wait staff not realizing that started at 9:00. We had a pre dinner meal and everyone's dish was very good. We had a chicken dish, lamb chops and the couscous - which was prepared in a risotto style. All were very good.

The best thing about the restaurant was the courteous and helpful staff. The atmosphere was blah. The food was mediocre. It was way overpriced, but that had to do with the poor quality of the food. At another restaurant, the prices would be OK. Come for the cabaret in the adjacent room, if that appeals to you, but certainly not for a great dining experience.

Our experience at Don't Tell Mama was very enjoyable. From the caprese appetizer, salmon entree, and cheesecake dessert.....everything was presented with great style, courteousness, and in a timely fashion. We constantly had our water glasses refilled and the food was at a perfect temperature. The music, playing throughout the restaurant, was at a perfect level, and all of the people visiting our table were very friendly.

I highly recommend this restaurant to locals, and tourists, and cannot wait to return. Thank you, for a memorable meal and we wish you all continued success.

We could tell this would be a great environment as the evening were to wear on. We were there early to enjoy the bar, then head to the restaurant before a play, so we didn't get to enjoy the full experience. But, we did enjoy the bar conversation with Tommy and the piano play. We'll allow more time the next time around!

The food was excellent. We had bruschetta as an appetizer and Lobster Ravioli and Penne ala vodka as main dishes. Everything was very good and nice portion sizes. The brownie dessert was excellent. Our waiter was attentive without being overbearing. Great experience! We will come back next time we are in the city

We went here because the reviews were excellent. We expected a big crowd but we were the only diners on a Sunday at 5pm. That worried me but I can tell you staying was the best thing!! The waiter explained Sunday’s are not consistent. I don’t know why. In my opinion they should be full every day!! Excellent service and food!! I was with my mama so she knows, wink.
