Drury Buildings Ratings and Reviews
We were very disappointed by our experience at Drury Buildings. The room was really cold so we couldn't get comfortable. We had to remind the waitress a number of times for our drinks and she seemed annoyed at us for asking despite having asked a number of times. On the last time of asking she just went and made it which took 2 minutes and then brought it over so not sure why wasn't done on the first occasion. The food was quite tasty. At the end they overcharged us by nearly 30e!
The food is nice and tasty and the atmosphere is fun but I was disappointed with my visit. I booked the table for 4 to celebrate our birthdays...as 3 of us had birthdays that day and over the weekend and I informed the restaurant when I booked but there was nothing mentioned or nothing on our desserts to mark the occasion....its the little things that make you remember a good restaurant and want you to return and unfortunately I wont be returning again for any occasion.
A great spot, centrally located, with a good buzz and views over Fade St. The menu caters for all and the wine list is very accessible. My steak on the night was one of the nicest I've had in ages! The ground floor bar is also handy for drinks beforehand or afterwards.
All was good with the meal until a senior waiter or manager stood behind us with our coats straight after we paid even though we were still talking and finishing our drinks. We had not asked for the coats and we actually had the meal served to us quite quickly, 3 courses each and a bottle of wine in less than 1hr 15 mins, my receipt confirms this. It was pretty embarrassing to be honest as it was evident to those around us that he was standing waiting for us to get up from our chairs. There was plenty of seats available for other diners so I'm not sure why this happened.
We ate here on 09/13. A different vibe, energy a look. The menu is limited but has some creative choices. The anchil island lamb was very nice and the hake was quite good. Service friendly and crisp. Our server offered a sample of wine based on my description of what I liked. Prices are reasonable for the quality.
I took friends from the USA for dinner and recommended some options for starters and mains....peach salad, buffalo mozzeralla and tomatoes and the truffle pasta....and all were very happy with the choices!
The Ripasso Red was a great choice with the food and the guests definitely enjoyed the evening!
The staff were attentive and courteous...the place has always been brilliant since opening almost 4 years ago!
Will definitely be back!
The bar and restaurant staff were professional, friendly and helpful.
We were a party of five and all enjoyed our choice of starters and main courses. We shared two desserts which were also fab. The only grip we have it the lack of wines under €30. The wine we had was delicious, but at €33 a bottle, (we had two bottles) it was one of the cheapest on the menu.
We enjoyed the evening a lot and have already recommended Drury Buildings to friends and colleagues.
We met friends from across Europe at Drury Buildings to show them how lovely good food in Ireland can be, and we weren't disappointed!
Starters, mains and dessert were all delicious- although I was sad that they didn't have the Campari cake, as this is a favourite from a previous visit.
Ambiance was relaxed and pleasant and the wait staff helpful and unobtrusive (a good thing in my book!).
A very nice meal.
The food was delicious and I had three courses. The service was superb and the staff were always on hand to refill our water and wine glasses. There was no long wait for the food and we were seated immediately after being offered a choice of table location. I will definitely be returning.
I'd only been for drinks in Drury Buildings before & had a great night then so was looking forward to going for dinner there. The restaurant is upstairs but the noise from the bar didn't travel. Food was delicious, staff were attentive and atmosphere was great. Only reason I marked down for service was an extra starter arrived when not ordered and we had to remind them of our coffee order.
Another fantastic evening at Drury Buildings - we booked for 6:30pm and opted for the pre-theatre menu. Everything was perfect for an evening meal with friends. The aperitif cocktails (1 Negroni and 2 Aperol Spritz) were expertly made. The starter of peach/ Parma ham/ ricotta was one of the nicest I've ever tasted and the main of crab linguine was also delicious. We shared a cheese plate for dessert having shared a bottle of wine over dinner. We then decided on a digestif and were able to move to the outdoor mezzanine area. Our waiters for the evening were fantastic - friendly but not intrusive. Overall, a great experience and I can't wait to come back again.
