Fallon & Byrne - Exchequer Street
Some of the best food in Dublin, beautiful ambiance
Fallon & Byrne is one of our favorite venues in Dublin City. We have been for lunch pre-theater & dinner & never disappointed. They have a wide choice to choose from which offers a fixed menu or A La Carte. The food is gorgeous & the staff are wonderful. The ambiance is very relaxing & the decor is old world. This is a great place for visitors to Ireland or locals alike. You won't be disappointed!!!!!
Lovely meal, service was friendly, nice atmosphere, I brought clients from Germany and they said it was the best meal they had had in Dublin.
Nice central location with good menu choice in a spacious setting. A classy venue that will impress suktably
We went for the early bird option on a Wednesday, it was fairly quiet but still had a nice atmosphere. We were not rushed and were given a friendly service. My only downside was my main course and my friends main. She got a Cesar salad and it was basically a whole head of lettuce chopped into chunks with a bit of dressing. My main was a burger which was overcooked. Dessert however was the kinder Bueno and was fantastic . Mixed emotions with this restaurant don't think I'd be back
Great service and great food never fails. Great atmosphere
Menu had a great selection and catered for all dietary needs of our party. Everyone enjoyed their main and the service was excellent. We will definitely be returning!
We had a problem with service but to be fair the manager dealt promptly with us
I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant, however the service did not meet expectations. We had two incidents were the waiters dropped things onto us and we barely got an apology. We expected better standard of service as we were paying a higher price for our food than other restaurants .
Great restaurant, excellent service and atmosphere.
Great food. We particularly appreciated the excellent vegan menu, as two members of our party are vegan. Highly recommended.
Bon choix de mets, excellent service, l’ambiance manque de chaleur.
Fabulous food and lovely friendly staff we will be back
Attended Fallon and Byrne for a birthday celebration . Was underwhelmed by the decor of the restaurant . Very dated considering it's such a well known restaurant..the tables are way too close together and our table itself was unstable and rocking . It's also too dark , I understand they are trying to set an ambience but I couldn't see my food even ..the food is nice but not good enough to return for. Our biggest issue was the staff . They were constantly coming over to us . We felt on edge constantly. Too many servers serving the same table. I don't think they realised how many times a server had already been over to us . Experience was a disappointed but the food was ok
My daughter ate at Fallon & Byrne as a special way to end our tour oof Ireland. We were not disappointed! The quality of the food, the superb service of the entire staff made it a memorable meal we will not forget!
Had a good night in the F&B Restaurant. Food was very good but the service was very very slow after the main course.
Disappointed on this visit. Poor, disinterested service. Hostess didn't look up for several minutes when we arrived despite being quiet - only 2 others in the restaurant at the time. Wold rate the food as 'okay' this time.
My reservation was a surprise for my Husband’s birthday. I have severe food allergies and they were managed superbly by the team in the kitchen and by our waitress, without making a fuss. My food allergen free and delicious. We had a great night and we will certainly return. Thank you Fallon & Byrne for always getting my food right.
This was my third time eating at the restaurant, they’ve all been a treat. The food has always been excellent, it’s a great value, and I’d definitely recommend.
We both enjoyed our 'Pre-theatre Menu' meal but as we ate early on a Monday evening the large restaurant lacked atmosphere.
Very disappointed with my meal. I was expecting a lot more - but the food was very standard - something I could have made at home. The celeriac soup was completely tasteless, my Caesar salad was just fine. We both had fish for main course. It was tasty but nothing outstanding. White wine was very average and not chilled enough. The seating area is very squashed, it feels like you're on top of the people beside you and the waiters. Overall, would not recommend. Too expensive and doesn't deliver on what you would expect.
Requested well done burgers and were advised that all burgers are served well done as standard unless requested otherwise. Burgers were served with pink centers.
Amazing attention from very professional staff . Nella and her team were really good, we will be back.
Had a fabulous meal here on Saturday evening, food was stunning, atmosphere great and service was brilliant - Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating - well done to all
Une bonne table avec des plats copieux et délicieux.
We went for Sunday lunch with 5 adults and 2 children and everybody was happy with their starters and mains, good selection for all including vegetarian options and kids meal. Great service and very pleasant.
small portions but apart from that great. Friendly, efficient staff.
We had a very enjoyable evening at F&B on Saturday. The starters we're very nice my wife had the foie gras & I had the Salmon with hake and rabbit to follow. We were very impressed with the quality of the ingredients and plates have been put well together. The wine list is "dangerous" but you can find some good bottle at a reasonable price. The services was prompt and very nice.
I expected it to be good but it was really good. Portions we're big food and drinks price are very reasonable will definitely return.
Great food and service though it’s a little dark in there!
The food quality was excellent, as always.
The service could have been a bit better though.
A really enjoyable Valentine’s meal. Pleasant, attentive staff. We both had the rib eye which was first class. Really good starters, too. Chocolate bombe was the bomb. Very good all round experience.
Food and service were excellent. The only downfall venue was a bit dark.
We had a wonderful dinner in Fallon & Byrne on a Sunday night. It was very quiet but very relaxed. We were a group of 5 and the service was excellent as was the food. The staff went out of their way make our night special. The early bird menu is excellent value and the wine selection superb.
The staff have a great food, wine and service knowledge and it was much appreciated!
We hope to return soon.
Hi, I was out with my wife for our anniversary dinner. I had been in F&B a few weeks ago with America guests at a work event and the food was amazing. My colleague had been there previously and advised us to go and it was excellent. I do not usually complain about food but it wasn't good on Saturday night. I ordered the burger and my wife, the steak, I think both may have been under a lamp or something for a while as it took a while for them to come out and they were very very dry.
We informed the staff and they were very helpful. They gave us two free desserts so it was very well handled.
These things happen, it wasn't the end of the world and it was handled well by the staff. Just FYI - when it is busy it is important that the food isn't sitting whilst others are served.
Just FYI. Many thanks. Maitiu
A last minute booking - a lucky find. A great meal, great surroundings and very enjoyable. Would definitely recommend
Very enjoyable meal with old friends. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Early bird menu well priced- not spectacular but tasty and satisfying.Lovely cocktails to start followed by delicious wine at reasonable price. Overall very enjoyable dining experience.
We really enjoyed our meal at Fallon & Byrne on 2nd Feb last. The vegan options were superb as were the regular options. But to top it all off, our waitress Sarah from Vancouver was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, chatty without being intrusive and made our night more enjoyable. The hostess was also very sweet and friendly. I will be back bringing friends.
Food was fabulous & staff very attentive, really enjoyed our lunch and will definitely be returning
I can sum up our meal as: Fine. Nothing out of the ordinary, no flavours that excited us. I had the salmon which was served in a bean soup. the soup was watery, lacked imagination and utilised the cheapest ingredients in the pantry in an unimaginative way. I could have made this at home in 30 mins on a weeknight. My husband had the chicken which was nicely cooked but over salted. the risotto it was served with was fine too. I will not be returning nor recommending as this food is not at restaurant standard. It is food one could easily rustle up at home. why pay for that?
