Fallon & Byrne - Exchequer Street Ratings and Reviews
I and my party enjoyed our dining experience very much last Monday evening. The food was excellent, the ambience was delightful and we were able to relax, catch up and have a very pleasant evening. In the above rating, I gave a 'very good' to service rather than 'outstanding' simply because we felt that there was an inordinately long delay whilst we waited for the main course to be served. Looking at the waiter's body language, we detected some little confusion. otherwise, the evening was splendid and I and my party will be back.
Very good produce used for the meals leading to lovely meals.
Snobby and slow staff whom didn't notice us. We had to leave our table to get the attention of the maitre dee in order to get our main course during lunch.
Probably not a great place for lunch but if you have no time to keep them it might suit you better.
Once we made the staff aware we needed faster service we did get that.
Booked this for a treat as my friends were visiting from the UK. They are very foodie people , so I wanted something authentic to Ireland . They loved it ! The service was a bit slow maybe, but on this occasion it suited us. We didn’t feel rushed. Overall a lovely experience. Next time we are going to book the wine bar , which looked good downstairs. We
I only gave the ambiance 4 stars as opposed to 5 due to higher than normal noise levels. No fault of their own as it was a popular Friday evening choice. Normally, the restaurant is great for conversations. Always a reliable choice. Staff are flawless professionals.
very good food
very bad wine selection ( very low quality french wine for crazy prices)
did not like the fact that waiter strongly advised having starters instead of going direct to main courses as if we did not order starters , we would have to wait 45 minutes ...never heard that before anywhere else in the world
so we took starters ....

The Fallon & Byrne restaurant is a gem. Affable, attentive staff, great atmosphere, a small but excellent menu and a large and amazing wine list. A small drawback is the noise at peak times, but that's because the place is so popular. It's the place we go to for family occasions, farewells - any excuse. Floreat F&B!
Overall our experience was very good, however, it was a bit annoying that we had booked the pre-theatre menu for 6.45pm, we were told that there might be a question over whether we could have it or not when ordering at 6.50pm as the computer closed down at 7.00 pm for this particular menu????
