Fallon & Byrne - People's Park
Sunday: 12pm - 8pm
We had a lovely meal and very attentive friendly service. We were a group of six and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Love our first visit in Fallon and Byrne, Dun Laoghaire! Food was amazing, atmosphere is friendly and most of all service was superb! Made my son’s bday so special and memorable! They have gone the extra mile and surprise us with a lovely plate of cake with a candle. Thank you guys!
We really enjoyed our evening. It was early on a Friday, so quiet which meant we could hear each speaking - such a refreshing change!. Food was delicious, service great and good value for money.
Such a great setting too
Absolutely lovely meal yesterday and very easy to book . Device was fantastic and very comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Will definitely recommend and be back again shortly
Tables are not wheelchair accessible. The angle of legs do not allow wheelchair to fit fully beneath.
Had a great meal with my brother here, couldn’t fault it. Highlight was the trout for me!
Restaurant is always to warm. Great service. The food is always ok and nice. but nothing to rave about. This restaurant would benefit from offering breakfast. Would go down well over looking the park.
The food and service were both exceptional! Thanks for the lovely afternoon!
A very nice meal in cosy surroundings with good friendly service. The trout was delicious!
Went here as a couple for lunch. Food was quite nice, bit overpriced though.
Friendly staff, comfortable seats. Overall it was just okay so I wouldn't rush back.
Half the tables were full & it wasn't noisy like other people said. Also tables were definitely not really close together like other reviewers mentioned.
Very popular area so I'd say it gets very busy at weekends/summer.
Some people complained about children/babies - this is ridiculous, how can a restaurant (or anyone) control a crying baby?! Shouldn't even be mentioned in a review.
We went to Fallon and Byrne for a special family occasion and had a fabulous tasty meal in a beautiful setting . A great night out . Will definitely be going there again .
Great location and scenic view. Early bird menu was very good. Portions were ample and service was particularly attentive. Couldn’t fault it.
Excellent lunch,great food lovely restaurant
The fish hake and salmon were cooked to perfection The service was excellent Over all a wonderful day out
Went already a couple of times -
Fiod is always good and service absolutely great.
But this time there were at least 3 tebles with 12-15 people inclusing screaming children. Meaning there were only 3 or for table for 2 squeezed between this enormous noise! If this venue becomes something like that will definetely not go anymore.
First time there. Food was quite good but noise level was so bad it was very difficult to converse. So not in a hurry to go again. Such a shame because it is a beautiful setting.
A lovely place for eating out. Service was attentive but not over bearing. Food was great. If I lived here I would definently eat here regularly.
Could not fault the food or the service. Lovely venue as well.
Enjoyed the venue but it took a long time to actually place the order after getting seated and getting menus.
Vegan menu was just two mains taken from the normal menu, and no vegan pancakes were available either. The food was alright, but found a long hair in my portobello mushroom burger. Wouldn't rush back.
I have organised two occasions recently in Fallon and Byrne and I will keep it as one of my best options. It offers a great deal, small/large portions, good vegetarian menu, good non-gluten menu, space, good service.
There are a lot of flies while we ate, which were annoying, and it was a bit noisy. That said, they don't deter me from going again.
Excellent food. Very friendly service. The outdoor area is noticeably cleaner than a lot of other similar venues, and the tables are well spaced. Good value for money although we caught ourselves out on the wine by glass which can be pricey. Easily one of the best Killiney/Dalkey/DunLaoghaire options for outdoors eating.
Really enjoyed our meal. Great location.
Most of all we loved the service provided by EMILY. She was friendly, helpful, efficient, knew everything about the food.
Most of all, she was great fun !!
As a vegetarian I was really looking forward to the menu but the portobello mushroom burger was very disappointing. It was literally a mushroom on a bun. It was fine but when you go out especially somewhere with a name like fallon and Byrne and for nearly 16e you expect something more. I could have made myself that at home for a euro. Also the moose was delicious but it was a small spoonful on the plate....crazy for 7e. The staff were lovely and the place itself is amazing but food let's it down.
Sat outside, weather was perfect,
Food was really good - Pate starter Salmon and Ribeye for mains - good service, good value
Great selection of food on offer for everyone. Really tasty. Great buzz and super friendly service. A little pricey for what we got but everything else made up for it
Really enjoyed the evening, perfect choice for my father in laws Birthday, he thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks to the wonderful staff on the night.
Incredible seafood platter
The first waitress we had for main course was excellent. Unfortunately the waitress who took our dessert order forgot that I specified that the dessert be gluten free (even though I said it clearly when ordering dessert) and I ended up having some gluten and being unwell that night. The staff who came down after did not manage it very well in my opinion - I think they thought they were doing me a favour by not charging me for the spoon of gluten filled dessert I had :-/ Pity as I had been looking forward to it.
Very good food
We celebrated my parents wedding anniversary at lunchtime during the week and all 5 of us were delighted with the experience.
Beautiful setting looking out onto the People's Park. Great for lunch & a glass of wine in the sun with plenty of people watching thrown in. Menu is a bit limited for lunch/brunch options & salads could be better given the draw for al fresco dining. Service can be very slow on Sundays when they're mobbed, but is generally pleasant despite this. Toilets tend to be unpleasant at the weekends with so many park goers using the facilities & queues for takeaway coffee blocking access.
I really enjoyed my Saturday night meal. Mostly the staff were excellent although I was told when I tried to order an aperitif that he was very busy and to come back in 10 minutes. I did try again and a good humoured girl rose to the occasion. I would have liked to have a better selection of wines by the glass. I was also a bit disappointed to find toilets had an overpowering stench. Otherwise good staff and good food made my night a good experience overall. Thank you.
Had a great night Saturday
Staff were excellent especially Conor
What a wonderful location in the good weather, such an attractive room in a lovely setting. I enjoyed my lovely summery meal of beautifully cooked salmon, asparagus and baby boiled potatoes. My only concern was the cost which, for one main course lunch, a coffee and modest tip, came to €25.00!
Food was pretty good. Had the fish platter for starter and lamb for mains. 2 wines we ordered they didnt have plus when the bill came we had 2 bottles of wine on our bill instead of 1..lucky I checked the bill.
Lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff, good food and good service.
Ambiance was lovely and food is great however service was poor. Lovely staff but seemed they were a little all over the place and disorganized.
I expected a lot better from this place. The menu was ok, but not fantastic. The service was haphazard, but friendly - maybe it was a training day. The food was tasty. We had a jug of Pimms, but it just had a handful of strawberries and a slice of lime in it - not the usual orange, cucumber etc and was quite a weak mix
Excellent food . Very friendly staff. Lovely to sit outside
Risotto was dry but salmon perfectly cooked.
Staff very helpful polite and professional
