Fallon & Byrne - People's Park
As good as usual on a quite Tuesday evening. We regularly go as it's local.
Great table overlooking the park which was busy with the Sunday market. A tasty ‘something for everyone’ menu with a separate kids selection (plus crayons!). Our 3 & 6 year olds had the fish and chips (ample proportions) with both clearing their plates! Our server noticed an envelope on the table and asked “was it a special occasion” and proceeded to bring out a Knickerbocker Glory with a lit birthday candle. Great attention to detail. We will be back.
It was a lovely way to spend Easter Sunday brunch.
Nice meal in one of our local restaurants, nice burger and they do super salads. Can be pricey if you go off piston the wine.
Very pleasantly surprised, excellent food and great service
The location, setting, ambiance, service and food are all very good. I do however question value. After all it is a suburban restaurant, its a lunch for two without any alcohol and €90 Euro(includes tip) is in my opinion far too expensive.
Awesome food and great service!
Steak was perfect and wife had the trout.
House made gelato for dessert.
Only issues experienced were with pentacle booking - quickly solved by restaurant.
A Quiet Monday evening but very pleasant with wind and rain lashing outside. Pleasant and speedy service. A superb seafood sharing starter followed by some excellent steaks.
Glasses of house red and white wine were both very good and reasonably priced. We shared a good cheeseboard and coffees to finish.
First time dining here food was delicious really enjoyed the experience will go back.
Had a nice dinner despite the waitress mixing up my order (I got cod rather than trout, but she apologized for it so did her boss and offered to take it back). The cod was fine, but nothing special. So I am still wondering what the trout would have been like and maybe they would have got one more star. Orange and poppyseeds cake was nice, could have been just a bit moister. French Sauvignon was light and crisp as it should be. Good strong expresso to finish.
Great food and healthy selection. Attentive service as always despite peak weekend time. We love the space and views from the venue onto to the park and relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
Am familiar with F & B loved our visit to restaurant Saturday evening, on a visit to Dublin from Cork. Had done Bray to Greystones walk in afternoon great appetite & ambience friendliness of staff not to mention food delicious. We were staying for 2 nights in Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire & restaurant so convenient
Friendly, attentive staff, Nice atmosphere, prompt service. The menu, the food was excellent at the price. Will definitely put this restaurant on our good places to eat for the future. There was a lovely view past the illuminated fountain and down to the sea from our table. Excellent all around.
Service made up for any food issues. Really good wait staff.
Fallon and Byrne did not disappoint, great setting and atmosphere.
Beautiful setting, friendly, accommodating very clean and the waitress was very pleasant and attentive
Great food & excellent service as always
Very nice meal and friendly staff. Good selection of items on the menu. Will be back again.
Very enjoyable lunch here on Sun 13th Jan. Was dissapointed no Brunch menu on offer. Menu was good enough but would have liked breakfast/Brunch options also.
Excellent service from Chloe from Kerry!
Sunday lunch with elderly mum. Really attentive staff who catered to her specific requests. Lovely food in nice surroundings
Lovely food, never disappoints. The staff are very friendly and helpful which is so welcome when you have 2 small kids. We go every week
Everything was really excellent, we really enjoyed our meal, however one of the waiters, who we can only assume was a junior, was very inefficient, forgot orders, mixed up wine, spilled drinks....really not a good performance at all. We didn’t complain at the time as we didn’t want him to be embarrassed, and have to say the other staff, particularly the floor manager, were fabulous and we were treated very well. Food was beautiful and we would definitely go again.
Fallon and Byrne in the People’s Park is one of my favorite restaurants on the Southside. The views over Dun Laoghaire are stunning at any time of the day or night.
The menu is extensive and reasonably priced, I’ve never had a bad meal there! Esp love the value of the early bird!!There is plenty of space between tables too, so it has a lovely intimate feel.
Keep up the good work guys and we’ll be seeing you again soon!
We had a lovely meal and very attentive friendly service. We were a group of six and thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Love our first visit in Fallon and Byrne, Dun Laoghaire! Food was amazing, atmosphere is friendly and most of all service was superb! Made my son’s bday so special and memorable! They have gone the extra mile and surprise us with a lovely plate of cake with a candle. Thank you guys!
We really enjoyed our evening. It was early on a Friday, so quiet which meant we could hear each speaking - such a refreshing change!. Food was delicious, service great and good value for money.
Such a great setting too
Absolutely lovely meal yesterday and very easy to book . Device was fantastic and very comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Will definitely recommend and be back again shortly
Tables are not wheelchair accessible. The angle of legs do not allow wheelchair to fit fully beneath.
Had a great meal with my brother here, couldn’t fault it. Highlight was the trout for me!
Restaurant is always to warm. Great service. The food is always ok and nice. but nothing to rave about. This restaurant would benefit from offering breakfast. Would go down well over looking the park.
The food and service were both exceptional! Thanks for the lovely afternoon!
A very nice meal in cosy surroundings with good friendly service. The trout was delicious!
Went here as a couple for lunch. Food was quite nice, bit overpriced though.
Friendly staff, comfortable seats. Overall it was just okay so I wouldn't rush back.
Half the tables were full & it wasn't noisy like other people said. Also tables were definitely not really close together like other reviewers mentioned.
Very popular area so I'd say it gets very busy at weekends/summer.
Some people complained about children/babies - this is ridiculous, how can a restaurant (or anyone) control a crying baby?! Shouldn't even be mentioned in a review.
We went to Fallon and Byrne for a special family occasion and had a fabulous tasty meal in a beautiful setting . A great night out . Will definitely be going there again .
Great location and scenic view. Early bird menu was very good. Portions were ample and service was particularly attentive. Couldn’t fault it.
Excellent lunch,great food lovely restaurant
The fish hake and salmon were cooked to perfection The service was excellent Over all a wonderful day out
Went already a couple of times -
Fiod is always good and service absolutely great.
But this time there were at least 3 tebles with 12-15 people inclusing screaming children. Meaning there were only 3 or for table for 2 squeezed between this enormous noise! If this venue becomes something like that will definetely not go anymore.
First time there. Food was quite good but noise level was so bad it was very difficult to converse. So not in a hurry to go again. Such a shame because it is a beautiful setting.
A lovely place for eating out. Service was attentive but not over bearing. Food was great. If I lived here I would definently eat here regularly.
