The food is consistently excellent, but what really makes Lunch Lady stand out is the exceptional service and genuine hospitality. I brought my mother here for her birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make the occasion special. They even took a Polaroid photo of us and gave it to her as a keepsake. Such a thoughtful and personal touch! What I appreciate most is the atmosphere the staff creates. Everyone is warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. It feels less like visiting a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone's home. Great food brings you in, but it's the people and hospitality that make you want to come back. It was my second time here a d the second time I ordered the squid salad - it’s a must. We had delicious wine, seafood rice, chicken and the best dessert I’ve had in a while. You need to finish off your meal with the malasada. I can’t wait to go back. Service was also excellent. The staff is welcoming and provided us with recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the service is genuinely 10/10. The servers are incredibly knowledgeable, and the hostesses are warm and attentive. Honestly, everyone seems to take real pride in what they do, which makes the entire experience feel that much more special. As for the food, the carpaccio is a must-order, along with the brown butter pasta with caviar and their seasonal cappelletti. The steak and stuffed chicken wings are also well worth trying. for dessert, the banana tiramisu is a go too but other tables were raving about the other 3 desserts on the menu so I don’t think u can go wrong with dessert. Between the food, the atmosphere, and the incredible service, Liliana really a top restaurant in Toronto. The chef shook everyone’s hands after their dessert and asked us how the food was.
