Best Casual Restaurants in East Dallas

NHS Oaklawn is one of our favs. Always great with large parties even if it’s last minute. Our fav waiter is now the manager. So excited for him and his team did a fabulous job for our most recent visit.

The food was outstanding. Wait staff was also fast and attentive.

Great vibe, even in the bar area. We had the oysters (outstanding), the sourdough bread (love the added jam) , the salmon and ravioli. Everything was incredible. I couldn't decide on the wine and the waiter let me taste the two I thought it might. The manager even stopped by to ask how we were doing and what our food was. Probably the best restaurant for this grouping of restaurants. Highly recommend.

Alexis was awesome and had the best recommendations! We ordered the Honey Truffle Chicken pizza (but sub the honey for hot honey) and Gibson salad at his recommendation. He did not disappoint!

We love our experience at Pie Tap! Manager (Tyson) is lovely, and every server is kind and knowledgeable. Everytime we’ve come here recently, there is a swift, smart, tall and slender busboy who is incredibly courteous. I’ll get his name for next time but I’ve always been impressed with his demeanor and how he treats every customer with kindness and respect.
