We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, with their many attractions. Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs.Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers. Our menu changes with the seasons and availability of quality produce.

    This is a lovely welcoming country pub that is clearly making a real success as a restaurant whilst still having a well stocked proper bar. We visited for lunch, three of us, and were immediately shown to a table. Everything was calm. Because of the heat, it was 36c, we didn’t want a large meal so instead had starters followed by a pud; in each case, a small but interesting choice. They were excellent. As drinks, one had a spritzer whilst the other two a low alcohol, 0.5%, IPA which was on tap and tasted like real beer. Perfect. So, we’ll be back.

    Lovely pub! The staff were friendly and very professional from start to finish. We loved the drinks and quick service. The food menu had a great variety without being overwhelmed by choices. The food was hot and outstanding. We will come again

    Had a fantastic meal here last night. As a group of 3 we had different starters, mains and puddings and EVERY dish was fantastic. Dined at a few restaurants in Bath as our daughter is at uni here and this is our favourite. Extremely good service too.
