Bienvenue à French SocietyA bistro? Yes. But not just any. Parisian charm flirting with modern soul."At the heart of a great restaurant, there are always people… & their dogs!"This new venture is brought to life by the same famille behind Patron in Kentish Town. At its centre is Louis, chef de cuisine & maestro des plats, whose hands have shaped the kitchen at Patron for over 7 years, now bringing his vision to this new chapter, a petite sœur bistro that draws inspiration from its predecessor while embracing a new unique direction.“It’s a place where you’ll want to return to time & time again, to bask in the energy of the crowd, to be a part of a community, or to enjoy a quiet moment alone. It is a place that feels alive & timeless in its warmth, like a perfectly aged Bordeaux—luxurious, but never too proud to share a joke. It’s a place where time seems to linger, where the conversations flow as effortlessly as the wine.”

Built in 1839 on an old archery range, this pub quickly became a cherished neighbourhood meeting spot and was frequented by notable locals throughout its history, from Winston Churchill to Tony Blair. To honour the historical roots of the establishment, offer our take on the quintessential British gastro pub. We aim to be London's only gastro pub sourcing all of our ingredients from the British Isles, and where that is not possible, we look to source ingredients from countries and territories with close links to Britain, such as our lemons from Gibraltar. Our Head Chef champions British produce through culinary favourites such as steak, fish pie, and the classic treacle pudding. Our unique drinks & wine list is also fully sourced from sustainable vineyards, breweries and distilleries across Britain

Could not have had a more enjoyable lunch at the French Society. We shared the St Marcelin and tomato/peach starter, followed by the veal and steak. All were outstanding. The aperitifs and wine were also magnificent. Most of all, my kudos to the wait staff who were both utterly marvellous - knowledgeable, patient, witty and seemingly never rushed! I only wish I lived closer to go here more often.

Took my daughter for a birthday lunch . Lovely restaurant, the steaks we had were so delicious and tender and cooked to our liking. Staff were great, very attentive but not overly attentive. Restaurant is well decorated and the outside seating is like a little oasis . Would recommend .

Excellent dinner for three at the Prince Bonaparte. The menu is genuinely interesting - not your standard pub fare - and every dish we ordered was superb. Service was just as good: friendly, attentive and clearly a great team who enjoy what they do. The whole place has a warm, welcoming feel. Can't wait for my next meal here. Highly recommended.
