Best Family Style Restaurants in Northborough

Alden & Harlow never fails to satisfy! Really good food! On this night in my party of three, almost all the food was excellent. Swordfish, squash, kale salad – all delicious. There was some confusion about the pork rillette — the person who ordered it didn’t realize it was just bread w/a tiny jar of pork jam. (A really strange sort of dish all around.) We all thought the plate of bread that arrived was something for the table, offered by default. So she kept asking the server where her pork was and the server never said “it’s already here on the table.” Much confusion could’ve been avoided by a) customer understanding what rillette is and b) the server giving a better answer when customer thought the order hadn’t arrived. But all in all, still a good experience and nice restaurant atmosphere.

As always a fabulous experience. For the first time we chose seats at the bar, which left us plenty of space and prompt service. We tried several new dishes, the tuna which we loved. By far, the two best dishes were the chicken mayonnaise and the Bronzino Christmas style.

This was a great dinner and experience. Classic old school Italian restaurant ambiance and food. Great food, service and cocktails. Decent wine list too.

I had never been to this restaurant before. I was so happy with the wonderful quality of food, the excellent service and the very nice ambience in the restaurant. I thoroughly enjoy Mediterranean food and this was the perfect place to enjoy this kind of cuisine. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
