Great value pre theatre dinner , food was delicious. Service was excellent, attentive but friendly and very efficient when you have a small window for pre theatre dining . Great atmosphere, all the fellow dinners were Jovial and having a great time which provided a fun atmosphere. Great little bistro with simply delicious food and a wide selection of drinks .

We recently spent a wonderful Saturday evening at Loxley’s Restaurant and Wine Bar on Sheep Street, right in the historic heart of Stratford-upon-Avon. Having read glowing reviews about its classy yet cosy ambience, we had high expectations, and the experience delivered on every level. The venue is split across cosy, independent dining spaces that give the whole place a warm, intimate bistro feel. Even with the lively early-evening pre-theatre bustle around 6:30 PM, our table felt completely relaxed and unhurried. The modern decor contrasts beautifully with the historic setting, and the soft, warm glow from the little table lamps created a really romantic, inviting atmosphere. We kicked off the evening with two cocktails: a Bramble and a Passionfruit Martini. Both were mixed to perfection and looked stunning when they arrived at the table—the Passionfruit Martini had a velvety foam topped with fresh passionfruit and a side shot, while the Bramble was vibrant, refreshing, and wonderfully balanced. For our mains, we ordered the Pan-Fried Seabass Fillets and the Plant Burger. The Plant Burger was easily one of the best meat-free burgers we have ever had—served in a lightly toasted sesame brioche bun with melted French brie, tangy tomato and red pepper relish, caramelised miso onions, and fresh watercress, alongside a metal cup of crisp, golden skinny fries and dipping sauces. The Seabass Fillets were equally impressive: beautifully crisp skin, flaky fish, and paired with bold, vibrant accompaniments like roasted peppers, spicy nduja, artichokes, and Charlotte potatoes. To round off the meal, we shared the Rum Baba with spiced pineapple and whipped tonka bean mascarpone, which was indulgent, fragrant, and the ultimate sweet finish. Above all, what truly elevated our night was the phenomenal hospitality from our server, Jess. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we sat down.we will definitely be back!

Amazing service! I have never been so impressed....We had left it rather late for our pre theatre meal We explained to the hostess that we were in a hurry and had already chosen our meals/ drinks.She immediately took our order, and the delicious pho meal was on our table within 3 minutes of our arrival...now that is seriously impressive! Food and drinks were great..so healthy and what could have been a stressful evening ( our fault)turned into a relaxed one.Thank you so much to the hostess particularly and the waitress...( Libby/ Monema) you really went above and beyond!!!

We went for the Sunday roast and it did not disappoint. I had the roast pork and my friend the roast beef. It was excellent. Burford's best kept secret and very reasonably priced.
