The food 5 stars, the service 5 stars.. this visit was made extra special by Kylie, the hostess. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with her welcoming energy. She checked us in for our reservation and we were seated right away. But it’s not just that, it’s the way she went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of from beginning to end. Even when I asked about the music playing, she didn’t just give a generic answer - she found out what playlist was playing to share it with us!! It’s the little touches of care that make all the difference. She made our whole night with her bright smile and friendliness - big shout out and gratitude to Kylie!!!More infoStarfish Laguna Beach$$$$• Contemporary Asian• Laguna Beach•4.7

The atmosphere set the mood right away. Even after a rain shower, the patio cleared up to reveal a calm, moonlit sky framed by palm leaves and warm string lights. Paired with background music that perfectly matched the lively, tropical Cuban theme, the outdoor seating created an inviting vibe that made transitioning into weekend mode effortless. We kicked off the evening with little welcome glass of champagne 🍾 🥂 and handcrafted drinks. The cocktail presentation was fantastic, my pina colada topped with fresh orchids and a toasted coconut rim, the drinks were as smooth as the setting. For the main course, I ordered the El Churrasco. It was a perfectly grilled skirt steak which was easily a highlight. Served alongside traditional black beans, buttered rice, sweet fried plantains, and street corn on the cob dusted with cojita cheese, every element on the plate packed incredible flavor. To top off the meal, we ordered the sizzled skillet dessert, the Bananas Flambé. Prepared tableside, the caramelized bananas with vanilla ice cream topped with cinnamon and caramel sauce made for a sweet finish to the night. Between the vibrant music, warm ambiance, excellent Cuban-inspired cuisine, and handcrafted drinks, it was the perfect spot to toast to the end of the week. Habana is definitely staying on our list for future team outings!More infoHabana at The Irvine Spectrum$$$$• Cuban• Irvine•4.6
