We were in Syracuse for a short visit and Googled best seafood restaurants in the city. Yours came up with the highest ratings and since we were in the Destiny USA mall anyway, it made perfect sense to just eat there. We were a bit concerned about the word "Cajun" in the title of the restaurant because neither of us eats spicy foods, but there was an ample selection of items from the menu that were not prepared Cajun style, so this was not an issue at all. What a fabulous choice that was!!! We arrived a bit earlier than our scheduled 5:30 reservation and were seated immediately. Our server, Avasia at Table D3 was extremely warm, kind and efficient. She delivered our order very quickly and we were blown away by how delicious everything was. We come from Maryland - home of the crab - and yet the crab cakes we each ordered for an appetizer were far superior to anything we've ever eaten in Maryland. I ordered the fried scallops and sweet potato fries and my husband ordered fried shrimp and sweet potato fries. Both of us enjoyed our respective meals immensely and agreed this was one of the best dining experiences we've ever had anywhere. When we shared with Avasia how much we enjoyed our meal, she got a huge smile on her face and told us how happy she was to hear that. You would have thought she had actually prepared it herself. She is a wonderful representative for your dining establishment and we hope she is recognized accordingly.

I’ll start with the only bad thing… how could you be out of one of the two soups as part of the prix fixe at 5:45? Other than that, it was all good. Seated on time, service was great, the food was good and arrived in a timely way, and if wasn’t as loud as it has been during previous visits (lucky this time, perhaps). Very happy with this visit on Mother’s Day.

Hostess wasn’t aware you could make OpenTable reservations. We were seated promptly and placed drink and app order. Drinks and bread arrived shortly afterwards. They offer a daily early bird special(as of 9/26) from 3-5:30 daily. Consists of drinks - sodas, tea/coffee; soup or salad and choice of 6 entrees from 2 different price structures. Also included is a bowl of chocolate or vanilla ice cream or mini cannoli. Ordered the deluxe app - Buratta with fresh tomatoes, onions and fresh basil. Soup we picked: minestrone and Chickarina; entrees: Fettuccine Alfredo and grilled Alpine chicken. Dessert was the cannolis. Great value, food was tasty and service was excellent. Adding to our restaurants when we are in the Utica area.

We had to move back our reservation on graduation afternoon due to the length of the program. The staff at Monk’s allowed us to do that even though it went into hours when they were closed. We got excellent service and great food and drink
