Best Restaurants for Quiet Conversation in University City

Very good Italian food in a nice setting, good service and good prices.

I actually received a recommendation to this place from a friend from out of town -- otherwise I had not come across Mi Vida, yet. But when a long-time resident of San Diego recommends Mexican, you give it a try! We loved our experience -- we started with chips and salsa and both were outstanding. All three of us had fish, one the salmon and the others the fish of the day. Plus a plate of plantains to share. Mexican cuisine is diverse as you stretch from north to south and while Mi Vida updates and plays with flavors, the best of Mexican cuisine is represented in new ways and combinations. We will be back!

Wonderful as always. Good was exceptional and the evening was perfect.

Staff was just lovely and food was delicious. Will definitely go back
